My Ratings.

Weaver 8

Otsemebor 7

Purse 7

Buxton 8

Jones 7

Miller 8

Potter 7

JOC 7

Teale 6

Tudgay 6

Morrison 6

Johnson 9

I know Johnson was only on 30 minutes, and he looked shattered after 20, but he was more of a threat in those 30 mintues than any other forward. My marks may be a bit harsh on our two strikers because the service they get is abysmal. Things may have been a lot more comfortable if Teale had put the early chance away, from where we were sitting in the Cowlin Stand, it looked harder to miss.

I feel sorry for Otsemebor, he looked to be finding his feet a little, but the tackle he put in was stupid, the guy was out on the touchline, we had cover everywhere, I thought it was a yellow at most, but if you don't use your head, this is what can happen.

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

Great day out;

Pros:

+ Friendly home fans;

+ The beer tent;

+ Some funny banter between Wednesdayites;

+ The turnstile operator wearing a Wednesday shirt;

+ A win for my first away game of the season;

+ A proper small family football club.

Cons:

- The match;

- Our manager is so negative;

- Not much singing from our fans, but the open terrace did not help.

- The wednesdayite in the gray jumper behind the goal at the back that had bad wind and nearly gassed all the fans around him. :biggrin:

A bright start. but then we just seemed to stop playing and reverted to the usual clueless, tacticless negative dross. Great to see JJ back and changing the game though, I was right in line with the shot and it curled in perfectly.

Yeovil fans were friendly enough, but putting photos of our players up in the away end and having the turnstile operator wear an Owls shirt was just sucking up!

:biggrin: That was just weird! Seeing a picture of Giles Coke at an away kiosk.

The beer tent was a great idea - even if the green and white bitter was rank

The fans were quiet until we scored. The funniest was the kids sat in the corner, giving it the "who are you" They went on the pitch at half time, did a lap of honour, then gave the "come on" to the Wednesday fans as they ran past

All I can say is it must be grim on that away end in a downpour

You must have been stood near me. Was nearly sick at one point!

Was it any Owlstalker that ran onto the pitch side when J.J. scored, :rolleyes:

That was sllow motion running, quite funny.

Irvine's tactics baffle me. We just seem to stick everyone behind the ball so that when we do get a break, no one is up there and the opposition clear the ball. Against a decent team we will get a right hammering.
