The last being a 3-1 win 24th March 1976 and the first being 21st September 1946. The highest scoring game(s) at Hillsborough has seen 6 goals; Owls 3 Spireites 3, Owls 4 Spireites 2, Owls 5 Spireites 1. Interestingly, we’ve only met twice previously in cup competitions – both at Hillsborough and they have both ended up in draws (2-2 and 0-0) and required replays at Saltergate!! Also, the last 3 games between the two clubs at Hillsborough have ended in draws; 2-2, 0-0, and 3-3. ------------------ With that in mind, I predict a goalscoring draw with Wednesday winning on penalties.
