royalowlisback
GK. Grant RB. Otsemober CB. Purse CB. Beevers LB. Spurr RM. Teale CM. Miller CM. O'Connor LM. Sedgwick ST. Tudgay ST. Mellor Give us good balance, two hard working wingers to help our full-backs - who can both get forward as well when required, giving us less 'margin' for error. Claudio Tankisco
From what the Saints and Norwich fans say about Otsemobor it's vital we have a decent hard working winger that tracks back in front of him as they reckon he can be a bit dodgy defending at right back
Saxondale
I can see us using 3 up front - Tudgay just behind Mellor and Heffernan Where would we accommodate Johnson though? To play that way we would need 3 hard working midfielders behind them surely?

Guest becauseofboxingday
With Irvine being a big fan of JJ, and him being the only one with any pace, then I would think he is going to be one of the first names down. There's not much pace in Sedgewick and Teale in the same side. Don't know why people get carried away with first 11's. Many clubs will never get to play their first choice 11 all season. We will be lucky if every single person is fit and free from suspension for even a handful of games. The important thing is we have a squad that seems to have depth and options. vulture_squadron
or ---------------------Mellor------------------------ --------Johnson--Miller--Tudgay------------ -------------O'Connor--Sedgwick------------ --Spurr-----Beevers--Purse--Otsemebor ---------------------Grant------------------------- Not sure about the Sedgwick position on the second, maybe Coke instead. I was gonna write this exact line up but... Do players in the 3rd tier know what a holding midfielder or a deep lying forward are? Surely they'll forget what they're supposed to do once they haven't seen the ball on the floor in the first 5 minutes.
