I Love Sturrock
Tudgay could be great in League 1, but not if he repeats some of the performances he put in last season. He has stood out in other seasons for his hard work, and this was completely absent in some games due to Burnley turning his head. If he starts playing like he gives a throw again, hang on to him. If he's still got his head in the clouds, sell him.
nile
tudgay was to much of a target man last season and not enough of a striker, dropping too deep and never in position to score, but thats a style of play not an individual preference, he's quickish, brilliant in the air and should be used as a striker, not a target man, tudgay needs someone who did his job last season and the goals will flow. vontemp
I'd be amazed if we got anywhere near a million for him given the season he's just had.

Wednesday-Wonderland
Talent my arse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its allways been about hard graft with Tudgay, the graft stopped last year and what we where left with was a very ordinary player. Bang on. Although you're selling him a bit short by saying he has no talent the gist of your post is right on the money. Being a hard worker was a big part of Tudgay's game and he simply wasn't giving 100% last season, because he was sulking about how crap we were or because he was wishing he had joined Burnley, whatever. If he gets back to being a grafter next season he'd score and create goals that will go a long way to getting us out of league one. That'd see his value rise and we could grant him the move away that he seems to want in January. Although getting rid now to fund the signings of Parkin and/or Howard is mighty tempting.
