What did Man City and Real Madrid win this year?

Not this year perhaps, but Man City will ( They have only had Money for about year and they were within a couple of points of the cl and got their best ever PL place , would that have been achieved with out money ?) and certainly real madrid will becuse they have invested big money in the special one and lets be fair they have had a fair bit of success in the last few years).

also I dont think you can take 1 season as an example.

Money = success ( reletive to the amount and size of the club )

No Money = Shag all

There is the odd exception eg Blackpool but as my old boss used to say if it does not happen 7 times out of 10 dont bet on it.

The only way SWFC can progress is external investment. The rest is fanciful rubbish for dreamers to discuss

Didn't we offer £3m+ for shearer when he went for a record £3.3m to Blackburn?

Also, I'm pretty sure Hirsty was one of the best paid players in the country when he signed a new contract after Man Utd were knocked back.

£2.7m for Walker and Sinton was big money at the time.

Over £1m for Waddle who was almost 31 was also one of the highest fees paid by an English club for someone of that age.

You may be right and I might be wrong but i dont remember us as big buyer in the transfer market. Wheres Kivo when we need him

Nowt.

But they aren't playing Rochdale, and Dagenham and Redbridge next year.

And they aren't a division below Sflaphorpe.

And they can spend what they want.

Apart from that, like......
