gabbywokingowl
Have the club made a mistake in making the ticket pricing of £10/£5 for the Palace game? After Monday night's result, this has become our biggest game since the play-off final in 2005 and surely it would have been a sellout at category A prices. After deducting VAT, the difference in price must average at least £10 per ticket which makes a total of £170K for the 17,000 non-season ticket. Would have covered the cost of a decent midfielder and forward on loan for a couple of months ....
NicNac
Doesn't matter. What's the cost of the club dropping into L1?

It was supposed to be a kind of a thank you to the fans this season...but it hasn't turned out like that!
Russy
I doubt as many would be going at full price.

gabbywokingowl
You think as many would go for full price when it's live on the BBC? I guess we'll never know. For a normal game, no but this is effectively a play-off final and I for one will do a 370 mile round trip to be there even though it's on TV. If we win on Sunday, with the old girl bouncing, I guarantee some of those fans who will come out for the game on Sunday will become season ticket holders next season - the cutting of the prices is 'investment' in its purest sense. We are investing 170k to achieve two things - 1. a humdinger of a crowd for a massive game and 2. looking for the investment of 170k to result in extra ticket sales next season of more than 170k (which if we win, it will).
