Urbmeister1
Isn't it the norm for a club to put a clause in a players contract which, in a nutshell, means that if we're relegated the player takes a pay cut? I know Newcastle didn't have such clauses when they got relegated to the CCC (hence most highly paid players being sold off) and I just wondered (hope!) we've not made the same mistake...thoughts? Urbmeister1
Lets hope so, but knowing Wednesday probably not!! Agreed, it'd be great if they have as the cuts to the higher paid salaries (Purse, Miller, Tudgay, Spurr, Grant - assuming they all stay!) would free up a reasonable amount to recruit some much needed fresh faces.
