Guest intercity0wl
IM flipping CALM FFS. Actually, I dont feel as poo poo as I thought I would. Maybe its cos I'm resigned to us going down. Me neither, with the players we have i think its been inevitable for a while, still say that AI would have turned it round this season if he had been backeD and that lack of backing will cost us more in the end. 100% behind AI and looking forward to next seson following Wednesday, WHATEVER DIVISION IT IS IN. Jowl
I still think we'll stay up. It does make me laugh how Kivo has already written of our chances NEXT season already.
Guest intercity0wl
Another reasoned reply. Yep, but he is right.
Tyto Alba
Anybody would think that we have a relegation squad on paper. We don't. Is our squad one of the worst 3 in the division on paper/ No! Is our wage budget in the bottom 3 or league 1 standard? No! We have underperformed.
RobHowe
We have underperformed. Which begs the question - "Why?"
M Royds
Yep, but he is right. flip me. It's not like you to display open negativeness about anything to do with Wednesday squad, board and managers. Nice one!

No we have not underperformed, i was go as far as to suggest this group of players has overperformed, most of our squad would struggle to dislodge players from the corresponding positions at other championship clubs. Take todays opponents for instance 2,000 Wednesdayites cheering on and in the case some of our younger fans worshiping players like Clark and Johnson. We are asking players of this calibre to get results in the second highest standard of British football while the blubirds supporters have Chopra, Boothroyd, and other players of quality to watch as they head on a journey that may lead to the prem, Im sure you could do the same with all the top six clubs strikeforce. Our players are poor, very poor but their performances are at the limit of what they are capable of, which unfortunatly is not good enough for Division one, never mind the championship, Let the clear out begin. the gaffer
[Calm Down? Yeh because everything is in our hands isnt it? Ill bet come Monday @ 2200 hours that phrase will not be used on here, thats for sure. Palace need a win at home to WBA, on paper its an away win, but its Wednesday who are needing the favour here, we never have any luck. Period! Palace will be going for it at 100mph, knowin that a draw is as good as a loss, WBA have nothing at all to play for, promotion guaranteed, title out of reach, deck chair jobby. We had our chances vs Bristol. Derby, Pigs, Cardiff etc and didnt take them, we never went out giving 100% or really taking the game to the opposition. The reality is, like it or not, that we will be playing the Rochdale's, Notts Co, Yeovil, Bournemouth's of this world in the next few months. Who's to be made accountable? Laws, Strafford, Irvine, The players? I would say a combination of all 4, but who are the ones that will suffer, us, the fans! Who deserve much, much better, but yet get moaned at constantly when we have done more than our fair share. It's time to stop diverting the blame on to us, we turn up in our numbers week in week out, Scunny have less than a 1/3 of our crowd and yet have stayed up through sheer tenacity, work ethic, and teamwork, which doesnt take millions to assemble. I dont no where the club go from here, obviously league 1 for a kick-off but then what? Clear-out? whos going to come into replace them, and what money is going to be available? Do we trust Irvine with the funds? I think next season is pivitol in this clubs long term future, if we dont get back at the first attempt ala Norwich then were in massive, massive trouble. Tonight I am devestated, I wonder if the gutless clowns who have collected their pay packets this season regardless will feel the same? Doubt it very much!
