Toon Owl Posted April 20, 2010 Share Posted April 20, 2010 I've supported for over 30 years but living in Newcastle now makes it hard to get to the games like i used to. I'm surrounded by Geordies who are obviuosly very happy at the moment and that makes me feel worse as i really do feel that we are down this time. I just can't believe that the players we have in the squad are giving us next to nothing in return. I say to myself after each poor result that it doesn't matter, it's only a game and i'm gonna give it up, but the following Saturday my hopes are up again only to be let down. If we do go down i don't think we will bounce straight back as the club will be in further meltdown. Where is the "moneybags buyer" that we need. Why do Poxy little clubs like Pompey. Bolton, Wigan etc get the money to grow and allow them to get a chance at glory? What is in store for us? I remember the heady days of Big Jack, Howard and Tricky Trev. Will they ever return?
