ReadingOwl
Ours would be like the antique road show, thanks for bringing it along but it's not worth a w @nk. At the moment we are on Deal or no Deal. But the Bankers phone's bust I think. LS should get onto BT sharpish. That could explain the delay? Guest Johnbloodaxe
No wonder the players have been * under-performing* and the non-positive tactics of the manager.... substitutions... the re-signing of the crap loan players.... No strikers.....

theowlsman
No wonder the players have been * under-performing* In my opinion, the players have been underperforming because of two reasons 1)The leaked document stating that effectively a large percentage of the squad weren't rated by the previous management and would be released at the end of the season 2)After the appointment of Irvine, and an immediate response from the players to someone new, the players quickly realised Irvine was not necessarily the messiah everyone had hoped for. Perhaps they were baffled by his managerial outlook and tactical demands i.e. steady and careful when perhaps we are better suited to a more attack minded mode of play. Remember that's what the players were bought for by Laws as part of his plans for high tempo football. Switching from an attacking, high tempo, style of play, to a more steady, careful, approach has taken the players longer to adapt to than we could afford. Perhaps if Irvine's appointment had been made earlier then perhaps the extra time to adapt to a new style of play might have proved fruitful. As it is, they are only just coming to grips with Irvine's style of play. Too bloody late and another lesson learned.
