FTAO LEE STRAFFORD

Recommended Posts

Presumably Nick Parker the well paid chief executive would run the the club day to day...LS is the chairman of the board he doesn't run the club day to day....and if he does then why the hell are they paying NP £200k pa.

As fo the list of achievments....honestly is that really it?

Sheffield Children's Hospital sponsorship - very worthy but not significant financially

OurWednesday - good grief

Fresh paint in the stadium - good grief

open and honest communication - mmmm...so long as you don't have an alternative opinion.

World cup stadium - possibly if England are successful, if the grants are received (unlikely) and if it makes the shortlist

various other family and community projects - very worthy but not significant financially

The pies are good though.

Fantastic. Changes made aren't worthwhile because individually they don't mean much, even though they (along with any others not mentioned) add up to have a profound change in the culture of the club and its finances. Exactly the attitude of the old guard.

Many little changes are coming together to move us in the right direction, at least off the pitch.

So let's say all you anti- LS fans are right. Let's imagine that we say thanks but not thanks Lee back up your poo and leave.

What next? who runs the club from day to day. Who looks for investment. Who appeases the fans by talking to them.

Also lets look at what we wouldnt have if he had never turned up

It is clear to me what id rather have, what about you lot?

Are you writing the AGM brochure for this year?

Why is she SCO sponsorship not significant financially. Did we not have record breaking shirt sales this season?

What is wrong with ourwednesday? using the internet as a marketing tool is a brilliant idea, and correct me if im wrong but we are one of the first football clubs to be using this.

If we get the bid we will get the stadium. I cant see any of the other board memebers getting this for us.

The family and community project promote the club. People will come back to the club when they see us doing good things.

you say is that it? but i think after 18months in charge its pretty impressive.

Could be worse though, we could still be selling off our key players to make the accounts look like we're almost a well-run club, receiving further interest-bearing 'gifts' and having a shirt sponsor that benefitted, well, I'll leave it there...

Well I never thought this day would come, but I have a little sympathy for Talons post. The same questions about a void were not raised when DA left. That void was very damaging to the club. The period of inertia was only lifted when LS arrived. So for those that think LS should go? Have a word with yourselves. Whats the alternative? There is none. Unless someone turns up with mysterious backers waving a £250 m cheque we must do what we are doing. There is no other option. LS has done a fantastic job OFF the pitch. Im sure he knows he has to get things right ON the pitch. Fingers crossed that we can see out the next three games, stop up and start to rebuild ON the pitch too.

This next few weeks is time for everyone to put their differences to bed. To forget how the players have let us down. To forget that investment hasnt happened, to forget its been an awful awful season. Now is the time to back the club to the hilt. We have two massive home games coming up. Two potential full houses. Two gut wrenching 90 mins to geth through.

But lets get through them, get our club safe..............................and then we can spend the summer arguing like madbastards about whose fault it was it happened in the first place!!!
