i used to be sc_owl
That goal from Miller could be the catalyst for a good late run of form. Just before he scored I was thinking we just need a lucky break, something to drop for us and it happened in the form of a speculative shot that bobbled over the line. I remember a few years back when Mendes scored for Portsmouth and then they went on a run form late on to stay up.... You never know, the manner of coming back from 2-0 down to draw (and we could even have got a win!) should be a huge boost.
Russy
should be a huge boost. Not just that but also the 0-0 at Swansea, performance v West Brom (yes we lost but they are 2nd) and the win against Leicester we are in some decent enough form. My only worry is that this coincided with JJs return (although he only played 10 mins today). We just need to make sure we get the white round thing through the white rectangular thing, the rest of us seem solid enough.
Bluesteel
Lets hope so. I think Miller has looked dangerous in a few of the games hes started, so its good for him to get off the mark. real shame about JJ, sounds like hes done himself a mischief, we have no width without him. Salmonbones
JJ can be replaced with a player within our current squad. We have a player who is equally adept at running at speed with the ball at feet. This player also doesn't have much of a cross on him, although he can hit a decent shot - but equally doesn't have a good goal scoring record. Problem is, he's young...... Brownlad
Miller was unlucky not to nab a goal against Swansea... If him and Tudgay can hit a bit of a purple patch now and we stay switched on in every game, we could possibly drag ourselves out of this I am still firmly in the "we are doomed" camp though sorry for the Kivotivity

I've been hopeful all season that he was going to come good. Thing is, it seemed like he was the only one willing to have a pop from range, and you never know sometimes it will just bobble before the keeper and go in! Tell you what though, it's a shame Purse and Miller were both not fit and in form pre-christmas.....

In the last few years we've only really had Whelan and Brunt who seemed willing to take a shot from range. Too few of our players do it anymore with any sort of regularity. Tommy Spurr and Potter are the only ones to score from long range but its once every 15 games roughly
