malek
Good result considering that all out players didn't have single first team start between themselves.

Sam779
A respectable result away at top of the league, with us fielding such a young and inexperienced side.
malek
Derby played squad that would give our first team torrid time, never mind the reserves. I guess that those youngsters are feeling how they could force their way into first team picture now that more experienced players are not performing. Second string edged out Posted on: Wed 03 Mar 2010 Sheffield Wednesday's reserve team went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Derby County on Wednesday afternoon. The only goal of the game came from Ryan Connolly five minutes after half time. The Owls fielded a youth-based team in Alfreton and coach Sean McAuley was pleased with the performance if not the result of the second string clash. McAuley said: "The lads went into the game with a really good attitude and were unfortunate to lose because they deserved at least a point. "Derby had senior players in their team but we gave them a really good game. We had one really good chance to equalise but it wasn't to be for us on the day." Owls: O'Donnell, Wragg, Wilde, Cottingham (Hall 55), Nyoni, Barnett, Lekaj, Harrison, Oliver, Modest, Palmer Unused substitutes: Jameson, Meehan, Tunnard, Kirkland Edited March 3, 2010 by malek
