edinburghowl
ludicrous. Transfer list our best player, 4 months before the window opens, because he had a bad game? as did 9 others? Yet your team selection; odonnell instead of Grant? Buxton (injured) JJ (injured) Jeffers, who has contributed what? Some people are voicing emotion instead of reason, and its starting to spill out on match days too. Johnson might be back at the weekend.

Hawkeye
Johnson might be back at the weekend. Id be surprised if he is, especially given the style of player he is - hamstring injurys are real fcukers. Id have potter in my starting 11.
frastheowl
---------------------------Grant----------------------------- Nolan-------------Purse----------Beevers------------Gray -----------Soares------O'Connor----McAllister----------- Tudgay---------------------------------------------Johnson -------------------------Varney------------------------------ Defensively, it's time for the players who have been liabilities all season to drop to the bench. Simek is nothing like the player he was pre-injury, and so now Nolan is here, he's a automatic choice to continue at right back. (I'm presuming Buxton is injured). Spurr has been garbage all season, and was once again at fault on Saturday. We've got a player who's played for England at left back in the squad, dropping Gray back to full back is a must-do for Irvine. It'll provide experience and consistency to the back four and hopefully will encourage us to play football out of defence. If Purse is fit, he must be brought back...we've really missed him. Finally settled into the defence and is crucial to our survival. We have to win the midfield battles in the next three games, in particular. All are good footballing teams, who like time on the ball and to knock it around. O'Connor and McAllister will provide the legs in midfield, and hopefully playing Soares in his natural position will bring the best out of him. He potentially could be one of few players who could provide some quality. Tudgay is getting a lot of stick lately, but he still must play. Clarke is absolutely fookin' dogshit, and Esajas just doesn't work hard work, and gets isolated far too easily. We need players who'll track back and be competitive, Tudgay and Johnson will provide that on the wings. I've gone with Varney purely because it's either him or Clarke...and see above comment re. Clarke. Varney though, when he plays well, is a decent player who could play the lone striker role.

His hold up play, and indeed link up play, is superior to Varney or Tudgay. Hes a victim of two things; Varney and Tudgay run around loads, making him look lazier than he is The service to him, and the other strikers to be fair, is woeful. Especially a player like clarke, we simply have to give him more to go on, because he has proved he can score goals at this level, if given the service. Im assuming Purse is still injured, but a constant rotation of the back 4 never works.

Doctor Duran
Grant Simek - Beevers - Hinds - Spurr Miller - JOC - Macallister JJ Varney - Clarke Subs - Palmer, Potter , Tudgay , Jameson , Modest , Gray , Boden Wouldn't have FJ/Soares anywhere near the squad, If Purse was fit he would be in instead of Hinds. Stick JJ in behind the front two with a license to attack from either wings / thro the middle. JOC / Macallister to Defend the back four. Miller to drive the midfield. Guest geoffo
Grant; Simek, Beevers, Spurr, Nolan; Gray, McAllister, Potter, Esajas; Johnson, Tudgay I'd like to suggest trying a few youngsters but I don't know them well enough and this is Leicester we're playing against. Would definately put some of the Academy players on the bench namely : Modest ( seen very little of him this year) , Wragg , and Palmer - if only to shake up the first team who more or less pick themselves . But please no E E or D P even on the bench IMO.
