Carpet Slippers

Hi,

Can someone suggest to Soares and Potter that they should not wear carpet slippers again next Saturday. Football boots are much, much, better.

And whilst you are at it - tell them to give the 'smoking a pipe' routine a rest too. It is not clever; they are supposed to be athletes and should set a better example for the young un's.

However, gloves and scarves are, in my humble opinion, perfectly acceptable.

For all you out there wondering about my sanity (if any) - I am much calmer now thanks. With hindsight losing 5-0 in a relegation 6 pointer, to an equally useless team, is prefectly acceptable. Sorry for making a fuss. Probably, over reacted somewhat.

I have re-visited the highlights and realise, somewhat belatedly, there wasn't in fact, much between the two sides.

But, the wife still won't let me out of this darkened room. Might not be able to make it in on Saturday - which will be gut wrenching, but if I don't, pass on my best wishes to 'the lads'. I know they will be trying their hardest for all of us.
