I'm not about to have a pop at AI here, but having just listened to the post match press conference, I can't help but see & hear Brian Laws saying the very same things. He talks about the players standing up & being men, hopes it's a one off, performance wasn't acceptable, have to be mentally strong etc etc. Half of me thinks well what can he really say after such an abject performance.

The biggest worry is that this isn't a one off, we have been here a few times this season, we do not have a team of battlers in fact quite the opposite. We do NOT possess mental strength otherwise it would have shown by now.

I really don't know what the answer is but if he's looking & hoping it's a one off then he is sadly mistaken.

What else can he say though? We know the squad lacks fight and heart, he probably knows it too, but saying it on the radio doesn't do anyone any good.

The squad lacks quality, which brings poor results, which breeds a lack of confidence, which gets us relegated.
