Guest Gornaldo
As mentioned in another thread - But think it deserves it's own... 1) Are you going to revise the ticket prices for away teams that come to Hillsborough? 2) Would putting the away fans in the south-east corner be feasible, therefore opening the Leppings Lane end to Wednesday fans? When I was at Forest a few weeks back, we were in the bottom tier and they were in the top, we were surrounded by Forest and it made the atmosphere much better - Could this work? NicNac
Do you mean the North-West corner? No, meaning in the actual South Stand but near the Kop (I think). I think South-West might be more likely though... Unless he does mean the North West? Dunno Edited February 26, 2010 by NicNac
Guest Josh Fox
You'd get everyone in one stand then. Imagine the noise. Where would teams with a big away following sit?
Guest gozhawk
What is ths point in opening leppings lane 4 wednesday fans? Some of us older fans preferred the Leppings Lane end. Stop being negative, why not open it to home fans, worth a try.

dan27
What would be the point when we can't even fill the other 3 stands? Exactly. We desperately need a better atmosphere at home matches, thinning out our crowd even more by opening up another stand to home fans isn't the way to go. We struggle filling half the other 3 stands so why open leppings lane!? Think about it

Cpt_Hatstand
Is it worth considering shutting the South apart from executives/press? move the away to the corner. suddenly the ground would have a capacity of 28k (more like 26 when you consider the seats that would be netted next to away fans), and if people who sit on the south would be willing to move elsewhere, then there may be a chance of some sort of atmosphere with the other 3 stands fuller. Either that or shut the top half of the kop? Just thoughts really. Edited February 26, 2010 by Cpt_Hatstand
Sam779
I think that we should keep things as they are. If we gain a reputation for a poor view (Lep Lower or Corner) then fans won't come. We need the away fans to enjoy their view so they return in the future and hand over their money.
PEARSON
Raise the prices, yes. Open the stand, no. You cant raise the price. It has to be the same price as a comparable view in the home stand. That's why theyre the same price as the kop. United get away with this by making the top tier above the away end £30, so they charge the same in that end for home and away fans. They're only over-charging some home fans as well as all away fans. It's quite clever tbh.

We've got a club/stadium with history and tradition. Without doubt we're one of the away fixtures that away fans rate highly, so if possible we should be taking advantage of this to generate some extra revenue. Especially seeing as most clubs in this league are taking advantage of us having one of the best away followings in the country by overcharging us. cardiffowl06
I'd close the Grandstand, saves on operation costs (would be interesting to see a ratio of how much it costs to run v how much money it brings in for each stand) Id then spend the money on making the lower south split into three sections - SE, Central, SW. - SE would be north stand/ cheaper than the central prices. - Central would accomodate the most expensive seats / corprate. Could also mean a more premium area (concourse, seats etc) - SW would then be for the away fans (2nd or equal expensive price). Id then open up the LLE to home fans (upper only), maybe with the corner also. (joining up home fan areas) The North East section of the North could then become a family area.
