Recommended Posts

Tough one to call..Blackpool doing reasonably well.Hope we can nick a win,But going for a draw in my prediction.

1-1 Tudgay

Team news..

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has hinted that he will make changes, with striker Ben Burgess in line for a place in the starting line-up.

Holloway is without Hameur Bouazza, who is still away on international duty with Algeria.

Sheffield Wednesday's Leon Clarke is back in the squad after missing out at Barnsley with a hamstring problem.

But fellow striker Francis Jeffers remains on the sidelines with a similar injury, as does Tommy Miller.

Match preview

After winning his first match as Wednesday manager, Alan Irvine is now looking for a victory that would take his new team out of the bottom three.

Wednesday's 2-1 triumph at Barnsley on Saturday was their first win for three months and was described by Irvine as an "absolutely terrific" start to his reign.

Having immediately breathed new life into a side that had gone 12 matches without a victory, Irvine's next task is a trip to Bloomfield Road, where Blackpool have been strong this season.

Blackpool have the third best home record in the Championship, with six of their nine league wins this season coming on their own patch. A seventh would lift Ian Holloway's side back into the play-off places.

Match facts

• These clubs have played 66 league games against each other. Wednesday have won 34 and Blackpool 20, with 12 drawn.

• Wednesday have won four of their last six matches

Blackpool

• Blackpool, who have drawn their last two games, have not drawn three in a row since their first four matches of the season finished all-square.

• They have scored in each of their last 10 Championship matches.

• Striker Ben Burgess could make his 250th league appearance.

Sheffield Wednesday

• Having beaten Barnsley, Wednesday are hoping to register back-to-back league wins for the first time since August.

• The Owls have lost - and failed to score in - six of their 12 away league games this season.

Most recent meeting.

Sheff Wed 1-1 Blackpool (26 December 2008)

Wednesday scorer: Slusarski 55.

Blackpool scorer: Gow (pen) 48.

Come on your Blue and White Wizards...............

6 of us leaving Lincoln at 3.30. Hope the fog lifts!

Just for you. No fog at the moment. Weather predicted to be dry, cloudy, and with a minimum temperature of three degrees.

Going off on tangent, what was that no.1 hit the Three degrees had?
