Guest Bannister
Score/scorers?from vitalfootballYoung Owls held in derbySheffield Wednesday were held to a 1-1 draw by neighbours Barnsley, in a typical derby encounter.First-year Sheffielder Joel Magill, lost his marker from a set-piece and headed the Owls in front. The second-half, Barnsley dominated and got a well deserved equaliser, against a Wednesday team made up of four first-years.Barnsley fielded supposed wonderkid Reuben Noble-Lazarus, who has been linked with a £2 Million move to Aston Villa, this morning.Wednesday: Cuff, Eckhardt, Magill, Pinhorn, Wilde, Tunnard, Cottingham, Barnett, Hall, Oliver, Modest. jasowl
Wednesday scored inside two minutes but Tykes deserved a draw. If the wonderkid played he didn't shine, lolAlso saw Jeffers training on his own with a coach....is he the next Lunt?
malek
Our goalkeeper and almost whole defence were made out of 1'st year kids, and our only player in his 3'rd year with academy was Charlie Tunnard.I guess that we have one of youngest teams in Academy League. For those who went, how Cottingham & Barnett did ? scram
It's not at all unusual for academy u 18 teams to have a clutch of 16 year olds playing - in many cases 15 year olds too will be getting a run out
