BIG D
Now that is fantastic news, no need to buy another ticket *edit - you do but for any other game Get ready for the corner Piggies Easier access to Newcastle and Blades tickets Posted on: Fri 21 Aug 2009 Sheffield Wednesday would like to inform supporters that those wishing to buy tickets for the home matches against Newcastle United and Sheffield United no longer have to buy a ticket for an additional match. Previously the club asked supporters to purchase a ticket for a category C match within a month of these fixtures to help SWFC confirm away allocations for these games. Additional turnstiles in the West Stand this season mean we can be more flexible with regard to how we segregate crowds at Hillsborough. Sheffield Wednesday would like to see the majority of the stadium filled by home fans, allowing the club to give the minimum allocation allowed to these opposing teams. To do this we need to sell out in the South Stand, North Stand and Kop, before we can release any of the West Stand allocation to our supporters. Following feedback from supporters we have decided to remove the necessity to buy an additional match ticket, replacing it with the following offer, which we believe will be more easily accessible to our supporters: ·Season ticket holders and members can purchase two tickets for this game (the previous offer entitles season ticket holders to one additional ticket). ·Anyone on the club's database can purchase ONE ticket as long as they have bought a ticket for a previous game. Fans who have not yet registered for the new online store should buy their tickets for these games by telephone on 0871 900 1867 or in person at the Owls Megastore. Tickets for the Newcastle and Sheffield United matches will be available on this basis from Saturday, August 22, from 9am. Supporters who have already bought tickets bundled with Newcastle or Sheffield United matches can claim a refund if they wish - please contact the ticket office. These games are currently not 'all ticket'. However, this may change nearer the time, depending on volumes sold - full details will be provided via the official website. I will now be taking a couple of extras along who only wanted to go to that game on boxing day (before you start theyre not wednesday fans or NUFC either)
owl-zat
I'm guessing with this move it probably means we've only been given the bottom tier at The Sty again so Lee Strafford has acted accordingly.Well done Lee!!!
