  1. Flint Bidwell Knockaert Guedieura (sp?) Kodjia Them 5 players ensure promotion for me Westwood Hunt Flint Lees Bidwell Knockaert Guedieura Bannan Forestieri Hooper Kodjia To leave; Price, Palmer/Vermijl, Turner, Sasso, Dielna, Lachman, Pudil, Helan, Semedo, McGugan, Melo, Lavery, Bus, Sougou
  2. Top 6 Newcastle Derby Norwich Villa Wednesday Brighton Bottom 3 Barnsley Burton Blackburn
  3. Tough one to call, especially given the growing injury list. we know Lees, Hunt, Turner,cLoovens, Sasso, Wiggins, Wallace, Bannan, Hutchinson, Matias, Joao, Hooper are all carrying injuries as per his post match interview last night. With 5 days recovery time its going to be touch and go who makes it. I believe it will look something like this: Westwood Palmer Turner Loovens Pudil Bannan Lee Hutchinson Helan Forestieri Joao Westwood should be fine after hos rest, Palmer will come in for Hunt I would assume, Loovens looked like he came off as a precaution before he did any damage last night, Turner was close to featuring last night, so should be ok to play, Pudil seems to be fine. Bannan confirmed on twitter he resumes full training Thursday, Lee is ok, Hutchinson completed the match last night, so with a few days rest hooefully be ok to play, Wallce I believe will be rested/not fit, so could see Helan come in down the left side, with Sougou being dropped, and Matias not yet fit, we have little option, Forestieri will obviously cone straight back in, I cant see Hooper retaining his place, so it is a throw up between Joao (fitness permitting) and Dave.
  4. Ive been discussing our chances ahead of the Bristol City game with many Wednesdayites in the last few days, and they are all of the same opinion, that we will start slow, due to the wholesale changes and new recruits, with a high % being overseas players. Most of them say itll take a while to 'gel' and the team to settle down and get used to one anothers game, and tactics that CC has changed significantly it would seem, in comparison to SG who played alot of direct percentage football. However, ive looked at the 'likely' line-up for Saturday, as below; Westwood Hunt Lees Sasso Helan Hutchinson Lopes Wallace McGugan Matias Nuhiu Looking at that 11, the only ones I can see having problems adapting are Sasso, Lopes and Matias. The tempo/physicality may surprise them initially perhaps, but theyve all had a full pre season, and will have probably done research into the style that they will be competing in beforehand. The rest of the new players, Hunt- has played many games at this level and is a Yorkshire lad, and had spells with Huddersfield, Barnsley and Rotherham, so its not like hes uprooted and competing in a division alien to him. Likewise Wallace, who has won 2 promotions from this division, and we all no about McGugan. So I dont really buy this 'slow start' theory. The rest of the new recruits: Price, Wiggins, Lachman, Sougou, Joao, will have longer to integrate, and can be used from the bench initially, allowing more time to settle and adapt.
  5. +Thomas (Mansfield) There the only realistic ones to date that ive heard linked from various sources. Now Hill & Senior have arrived, with their contacts I think we might explore the overseas markets, and Hill has links to Utd & City so potentially a couple of their younger players heading our way on loan perhaps
  6. Dempsey Erwin Maynard Ward Leutwiler Ondrasek Marshall McGugan Phillips
  7. They were simply a varied list of managers, some out of work, some in jobs, some untried/tested, im not for a second saying id want all/any of them, just giving people an idea of whos available on the market. Id like to think outside the box and probably go for someone like Zola, Bergkamp et al, someone who could attract players, play an attacking brand of football, and who has contacts in the game. Weve had to many dull cheap english options over the years, a foreign coach could be the way forward.
  8. Theres lots of managers out there that may be available, depending on how ambitious/wealthy the new owners are of course: Gianfranco Zola Mark Warburton Karl Robinson Nigel Adkins Paul Lambert Tony Carr Paolo Di Canio Terry Burton Jimmy Calderwood Dennis Bergkamp Roy Keane Brian McDermott George Burley Alan Curbishley Billy Davies Roland Nilsson John Sheridan Simon Grayson Phil Parkinson Thats just a list of people I could think of, off the top of my head, that I realistically think we could attract, and are reasonable candidates!
  9. Do we have money now? Id imagine so yes, we Sold Antonio for 1.8 million and invested 800k of that on Stevie May. Will Milan personally finance any deals given we are within reach of the play-offs. Possibly. If we sell Westwood/Lees (and its a big if) id imagine your looking at 5m+ easily for the pair. So I dont see money being the problem, its whether we A.) want him B.) would Barnsley be willing to accept any offer on the table, which could include players ie Corry as a makeweight in any potential deal id imagine!
  10. I was cringing at him, got too be honest. He was awful, ruining it for the young wednesday fans. Going around the ground eating food not just one or two chips, virtually the whole box. He was a grade A bell end of the highest order.
  11. Itll be undisclosed. Hes worth 4m all day long in the current market, we will get 2m, and a player on loan from whichever club buys him, if its Liverpool it could end up being Brad Jones again .
  12. Were missing:- Westwood, Buxton, Mattock, Coke, Hutchinson, Betra- through injury McGugan, Drenthe (gone back) Madine, Dieseruvwe- out on loan So were proper depleted, but City are set to rest Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Clichy, Yaya, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko, Navas.
  13. ??? Dont no who will be in the sticks, rumour is Westwood is injured (*cough* Liverpool dont want him cup-tied) Palmer Lees Loovens Dielna Maguire Maghoma Semedo Lee Helan Nuhiu Subs- GK, De Havilland, Zayatte, Corry, McCabe, Lavery, May Picks itself really. Caballero Sagna Demichelis Boyata Kolarov Lampard Fernando Milner Pozo Sinclair Jovetic Thats how Citeh will line-up according to my Manc friend.
  14. Think we all no that theres naff all wrong with Westwood, he trained yesterday, because I saw him at Middlewood and he was chucking himself around like a good un. If he doesnt start tomorrow, then I think the writing is on the wall, hes down the road, and the buying club have stipulated for him not to be cup-tied. Id fully expect Kirkland to play if this is the case, but apparently hes been suffering from concussion. If this was the Case then surely we could have got a senior GK in on an emergency loan even for 1 game, Man City at the Etihad, not a bad game for a GK to get some match practise in??
