  1. Storey had been an ever present for PNE at the start of the season. He was playing right CB with Van den Berg at RWB. Van den Berg is on loan from Liverpool and his natural position is Right CB.

After PNE played Liverpool in the cup, Van den Berg's loan was extended till the end of the season and he was moved to his natural position of RCB and Storey was dropped, which would suggest Liverpool were pulling the strings.

I'd imagine Jordan Storey is feeling a bit let down by PNE, so he might be up for a permanent switch if things go well during this loan. Trouble is, he signed an extension to his contract before being dropped, so if he does well with us and we want to keep him next season, there'd be a fee to negotiate.

Young striker Colin Oppong is on trial with Sheffield Wednesday after leaving Ipswich Town at the end of 2021.

Northern Ireland-born striker Oppong has been in action for the Owls’ U23s at Peterborough this afternoon, having played for Birmingham’s U23s in their 2-2 draw with Burnley last week.

It had been understood that the 19-year-old’s Town contract was up at the end of this month, however, his terms in fact ran to the end of December when he left the club.

The other unfamiliar name in that line-up was Humphries. No idea who he is though.

  3. I'd be very concerned if we sold Windass in this window, but if someone offered the right price we should take it. Good as I think he is, he's potentially just another injury away from a long spell out and his value plummets.

We've all moaned previously because we've failed to sell when the opportunity has been there to make money, we can't moan if we do sell as well.

  4. I thought we just about deserved the win.

Some good individual performances throughout the team. The ones that caught my eye were:

Fusire - got up and down the right well

Ashman - strong and stood his ground at the back

    Shipston - Just looks quality

Davidson - Always looked dangerous in the final third

Cadamarteri - Although he didn't get as involved as I'd hoped, like Davidson, he looked dangerous

I also liked the little glimpse we got of Holland, I wouldn't have guessed he was only 15.

Enjoyed the pile-on at the end. I see Ashman and Davidson (who'd already been subbed) we're booked, I like the idea of the lads standing together like that.
