Football is like the airline business. If you sum the profit or loss of all the companies in the world, you end up in the red.
That's why it is nowadays a hobby for millionaires or billionaires around the world.

Sell on clause in this case is on the gross sell on fee not profit.
It would so Wednesday if we ended up having to give some money back to cover the loss

Oh, and just remembered that we have a club named SexyPöxyt (Sexy Pants) here. They play in the fourth division.

I've always found "Vorwärts Steyr" funny.
Onwards Sheffield

I might have missed it but has Luongo definitely not resigned then? The last I saw was that post from him questioning the clubs tweet about him rejecting a new deal??
Luongo probably had a deadline to respond to the offer and didn't.

I'm falling in love with the club again, that is how important these early signings have been. The five sub rule makes it even more important to have a balanced and large enough squad.

Luongo's agent rejected it and didn't tell poor Massimo
-
Luongo would have got us promoted if he had not run out of steam near the end of season because of those injuries. A very good player and we'll miss him, but all the best for him wherever he goes.

Really really happy with this. Very good player and a really good character.
Was lucky enough to meet him a few times during his time at Rotherham through the work he did for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. Hand on heart, he came across as one of the nicest blokes I've ever met. He gave up so much of his own time, nothing was too much trouble and he genuinely did volunteer there often, even when the photographers weren't there.
I know in the scheme of things, it's not relevant to him as a footballer but I do much prefer it when we sign people that I'm proud to have representing us.
Professionalism goes a long way. I 100% agree that we need people with a heart here.

That website is too much for me, pure Partridge
I am hoping that they add "The Massive" part soon. I keep refreshing the page.

‘Business David’ is the best one.
Sharp suit, leather wingback chair and cigars…all the things the modern business man needs!Imagine if the creative genius behind that could rebrand our club! Premier League here we come!!
Being a massive club, we need a massive brand as well. Bring them on!
TBH, the official site is bland and just the same format they all are. I'd love it if we had something cheeky and outrageous there at times. And no, Chansiri's midnight rants are not that

This is one of those solid reassuring signings that makes me think next season is going to be a good one.
Is it exciting to sign a 36 year old keeper? No. Is he what we need right now as we look to build a solid and steady defensive unit? Yes.
My favourite thing about him though is his unbelievably conceited website.

I believe we should sign the team behind that as well.
-
I am really liking this signing. An experienced stopper and seems to be a good bloke to have around.
Short term solution? Maybe, but we should make our stay in L1 also short term.

Might be that no-nonsense CB we need. Just do the basic job well, maybe score a goal or two from set pieces and I'm happy.

Chris would grow Woods.

I'm only hoping it gets those couple of our young prospects more time on the pitch next season.

Welcome to Hillsborough, David Stockdale. Would be a perfect match to replace BPF as the number one keeper.

Wahda life he must be having there, living his boyhood dream. Again.

Have they got that far?
That Star's article does have comments from the club president to a local paper.
"With Josh Windass there is an agreement and yesterday the offer was sent to Sheffield Wednesday"
Of course, you never really know what's true and what's not.

Has he been quoted as saying that? Not seen anything one way or the other.
You don't agree personal terms if you don't want to move. I suppose we have to trust that the information is correct.

That is very good news and proves that we clearly have a plan for him (and hopefully the other promising youngsters as well).
