All about opinions I suppose, but playing games for a side that can’t win a championship game is hardly a ringing endorsement None of the January signings have improved us at all, and I wouldn’t touch any of them

We weren't winning games before he came so thats not his fault. Of the 3 january loans he has looked the most likely and at least he drives forward and scores a goal or two.

    And there we have it

For anyone thinking Wednesday will get off simply because of Covid-19 or that people might go easy on us because of it think again

Surely nobody thought that. The EFL are gunning for us and will be eager to show their might if they win the legal case against us. They wouldn't waste their time if they were going to offer an olive branch.

I suppose they both did that, but in different ways. Jones tactically and perhaps not being able to install the correct mentality, and Megson did what he always does, self destruct His personality is such, that he always ends up falling out with people, rather like Monk.

Megson fell out with MM and lost the battle and his job. Always have a soft spot for the ginger one as he is a Wednesdayite. You maybe right though as no other club has taken a chance on him since and his record is better than many who seem to bounce from job to job.

  4. Whether he wants to go or not it is time for us to move him on. Doubt many premier league clubs would want him but if we dont sell this summer he can go for nothing next. Not sure who would be interested but some championship teams would be I would think.

Yes this is what he is capable of, but this is what he rarely does. Hence many fans have lost all patience with him now.

He used to play this way a lot more. Pass and move. Mayking runs and 1-2's. Now he just stands way too deep, plays Hollywood balls, and is then out of the play.

Just look at his scoring stats suggest. Wiki says 188 games played, 10 goals scored. Incredibly bad for a midfield player.

Bang on he can't score from half way line with his hands on hips shaking his head. He plays far too deep and often slows the attack up. 4 years ago FF was outstanding but its in the past. We need to move these players on.

Who have we signed since Waddle that could get us out of our seats regularly by beating a man? I can only place JJ as that type of player and we all know that he didn’t have the end product but I’d take another JJ anytime if it meant we got a fair bit of excitement each game.

Are there any players around that can dribble the ball and if so, could we afford to buy them?

Think youve forgotten Antonio what a gem he was. Pace and power, in reality we were just a stepping stone but was great while he was here.

I would challenge anyone to tell me any player in our current squad that always wants the ball, is always trying to make a difference and effect things, and who never shies away from the game as much as Barry Bannan.

I've never seen him not want the ball or go hiding.

Runs around a lot but often in the wrong areas. Plays far too deep and often slows the attack up. He is a good passer of the ball but often hangs onto it far too long. Think its time to cash in rather than let him go for nothing next year.

  8. Time for him to go so we can move forwards. This will be our last chance to get a fee for him as well. Problem with Barry is that when the pressure is on in the big games he seems to freeze. Good against non physical sides but not robust enough when the boots are flying.

Yes agree, but I thought Hector, although better in the second half of the season, was probably our best player under Jos as well. Hence his player of the season award

We saw enough from Borner, and indeed Iorfa, to believe that we might have one of the better pairings in the division, until Christmas. What has followed since makes a mockery of that belief, they, along with most, have been truly dreadful. Can we put this down to some mysterious behind the scenes event? I’m not so sure, during the period the tactics have been somewhat bizarre. Is it just a case of the good start being down to the good work done by Bruce and Bullen? Bullen was very careful to keep the continuity going after Bruce’s departure, and for a few games Monk appeared to be doing likewise. It’s hard to decipher what came first, a change of tactics, in fact several changes, or were the tactical changes just down to the manager trying to reverse the slump? Either way, it’s just gotten worse

Or was it down to the fact that Monk dispensed with Westwood and Hutchinson who Bullen brought back into the side and were first choices for Bruce as well. The form was good upto xmas shocking after.

Think early on, Iorfa’s form softened the blow somewhat, until like everyone else’s, it fell off a cliff edge How so many players can suddenly, and dramatically, lose form, all at the same time, beggars belief. Who knows whether whatever caused it, wouldn’t have had the same effect on Michael Hector, were he here

Have to agree as the first half of last season when the team was struggling Hector was no better than the rest. He had an excellent second half but 5 million for a player in the last year of his contract when money is tight would have been madness.

Probably true, but the guy had talent, and at the time, I can remember hoping he would come good True, to a lesser extent with Stainrod, and a lot more talented players, who really never made the most of their natural ability

I hoped Bothroyd would be a good signing but sadly his ego was a lot bigger than his application. Think we were the start of his very quick fall from grace. A wasted talent. Sadly Simon Stainrod was talented but tainted by his past. It was never going to work here.

I think the first two seasons he was very much appreciated.

But like a lot of the ‘play off team’ they’ve declined and needed a change of scenery a good couple of years ago.

I agree some on here thought he was a £10 million player around his second season. Sadly his form has tailed off and he seems a shadow of that player which has been the reason why some have criticized him.
