It wouldn’t surprise me if the 3 relegated sides do exactly the same as last years did. Norwich will win the league (Fulham), Watford will go through spells of not looking all that but still finish second fairly comfortably (Bournemouth) and Burnley will struggle in spells but still end up in the mix (that lot). With the way the money is and these clubs yo-yo’ing, I’m assuming it’ll continue until it’s proven not to.

Boro will be a problem with Wilder firmly seated now, and I’d expect West Brom to be better. Other than that.. well, I didn’t see Forest, Luton or Huddersfield being up there this year. It’s a division that doesn’t need sides “awash with quality” to cause United problems. Maybe this is the year you look at a Millwall or Bristol City to make a move.

I've been told off a reliable source that Hull have a decent transfer war chest to use this summer. The Turkish chap who's took them over is extremely ambitious from what's been said, I think they might make a decent push for top 6

I know - RS500 as well. In Moonstone Blue. I’m getting emotional just writing this! That’s what I said 90k now - at least.

Tbh I sold it before it was nicked!

Not many Volvos get stolen 😀

    Ahh mate that's gutting!!

Yeah they fetching some daft money now. I've only been fortunate enough, in the past,to have a MK2 Focus ST which funny enough has the Volvo T5 2.5 engine in it!

Shocking news on two fronts. You’ve got a red car AND it’s a Volvo!

I used to own a Volvo Estate years ago, having sold a Sierra Cosworth to buy it. Yes, really. You know, the car that costs about 90k now.

One of my lads at work cheekily asked me if I had to wash the Volvo more often, due to it gathering dust as it was so slow.

You sold a cossie for a Volvo!?!?!?!?

Mate why!?!? You'd be sitting on a small fortune if you had that car now!!!

Regarding Sharp, I did some work for an ex United player and he told me he stopped socialising with Sharp because he’s proper angry and always looking for a scrap

Ive also spoke to loads of barstaff on Ecky road and he’s a proper ******** end

My cousins pal got into an altercation with Sharp in the Viper Rooms on Carver Street years ago. He was in the VIP section with my cousin and their pals and was in a booth next to Sharp and his group, everyone was all drunk. The lad leaned over and made a harmless joke of "All Wednesday aren't we" Sharp jumped up right in the kids face told him to f##k off and nutted the end of lads nose which sparked a brawl, however it lead to my cousins group getting kicked out, bouncers were up Billy's a$$ and treating him like God (probably Blunt fans)

I know some last night think my comment was harsh, but the guy is a first grade n0b and to be honest it's about time someone gave him a clip.

Hes only interested in aggro. Got his big move, got attention and has lost the plot

To be honest I think he's got the blunt fans on strings. Him, the fans, they know deepdown he's been a huge flop for what his goal return has been for the fee they paid.

But what better way to blind side the scruffs by portraying this tough man who fights and sticks up for his Utd team mates like he's a true part of the bladesmen culture. Also whilst making digs at us in attempt to stir the pot and get the pig fans excited because he's winding "Wendy" fans up as they'll see it.

Doesn't matter how players perform for SU, aslong as they make a snide remark about us then them c##ts will hold them in high regard.

  6. You know what...f##k him. He's a horrible little twirp who does his best to antagonise opposing fans, mostly us. Look on his social media. Call it banter all you want, he's a horrible d!ckhead who's got exactly what he deserves.

Yep. I genuinely believe we had a lot riding on this as far as the next decade of Sheffield football is concerned.

    Now it gets interesting.

    Absolutely this

Don't care what any Wednesday fan says, if theyde won tonight they would have beaten Huddersfield no doubts.

Seeing them with the riches of the Premiership again whilst we play league one would have swung the momentum in their favour hugely.

Now let's the job done next season!!

Anyone kind of prefer to see them lose at Wembley ?

like… I’m scared they’ll go up, I’m also thinking it might make us push on if they do…

head says, dump them out tonight please

heart says, watch them lose at Wembley

stomach says, get them out tonight and don’t have to worry about it anyway

    No, not really.

Hope Forest get the job done tonight.

****    i did look the scores up, but they cant be correct as im sure we beat them with a late penalty one year at hillsborough

Yeah we beat them 1-0, Fletcher scored from the spot, it was Carlos second season in charge.

Regarding Millmoor, been twice to watch Wednesday play...First time was a 1-1 draw Ashley Westwood scored an equaliser for us. Second time we beat them 2-0, think it was just after new year. Lee Bradbury and Adam Proudlock scored. That ground was an absolute sh!t tip.

Remember coming out of Kenilworth Rd (after navigating through somebodys bathroom...) and feeling the relief that after we had let a 2 goal lead slip to lose 3-2 (take a bow Chris Carr) when hearing that Rushden and Diamonds had lost meaning we were safe from relegation...

I went to that game myself, remember Jon Shaw and I'm certain, Terry Cooke, scored our goals. As you say we collapsed at half time, I think Steve Howard scored one of the goals for Luton.

One of the worst grounds I've been too Kenilworth Road, remember thinking why am I walking through somebodies back garden to get into the stand.

Would love to see us back in the premier league. Winning games and promotion is what it’s all about imo. Playing good, attacking football and proving ourselves as a quality outfit too. It’s a shame we’re  quite a way off it at the moment, but some shoots of hope coming through after last season.

I do struggle to understand what the fans of clubs like Burnley get out of football though. Imagine always, always, always just about avoiding relegation. Can’t be fun.

But with the right infrastructure and good planning it doesn't always have to be about getting to the Premiership and having to survive. I mean I don't think Leicester fans ever expected to see their club actually be league champions, yes a rarity but it proves its possible. Even the pigs had a comfortable first season there.

For me it's the financial benefits that come with playing top flight football, that money can be used into stadium upgrades/development, investment into training/academy facilities.

With the younger generation of fans now coming through it would a lot easier to get a young fan to attend games knowing they could see the likes of Salah or De Bruyne in the flesh as opposed to watching Wednesday playing Bristol Rovers for example.

How times have changed. When I was younger the cup final was an event, no matter who was playing I'd spend all day following the build up on FA Cup Final Grandstand. Players in the team hotel, helicopters tracking the team coach, Cup Final Question Of Sport, players having a stroll on the pitch when they arrived, Abide With Me etc.

Roll forward to 2022 - I forgot that it was even being played today. Noticed it was on and it was already half time.

I've said it before but the competition as a whole, has lost its spark for me years ago. Used to be that real magic feeling about FA cup games and the final stages. Now it's just an opportunity for the big boys to field practically a team full of academy kids and disrespect the opposition.

  13. Sods law they would get a goal, its almost cast iron certainty.

However they've gotta get at Forest from the start, at a packed City Ground and how good Forest are on the counter, I wouldn't be surprised if they conceded an early goal putting the tie to bed early...here's hoping anyway.

Probably sounds worse than what it actually is…. Given that the likes of Shodipo and Kamberi fall into that category

Gotta say, out of all the signings we made in the summer, Shodipo is the one I really had high hopes for, after the reviews he got from his spell at Oxford. I guess he was signed originally to be used in the 4-2-3-1 system, I don't think he was ever going to be useful as a wingback.

I'm sure I also read recently QPR were in discussions over a a new deal for him so they must obviously think something of him.
