  1. This pen knife was amongst a collection of Mark Hooper’s personal memorabilia I managed to get hold of, some of which I sold on here a couple of years back. Some of the stuff can be seen in the history section. I believe it originates from the 30’s and one Owls fan on here mentioned it may be one of those handed out to players when the club toured Austria back in the late 20’s early 30’s. It’s a lovely antique piece in good condition over all but the mother of Pearl (?) has a crack on the back which can be seen in the photographs. It comes in its own bespoke wallet. I’m looking for £75 for it. It’s a lovely, unique and old piece. Replies via pm or on this page would be great.
  2. For anyone interested the sale on eBay finishes in about ten hours. Good luck if you are bidding. Thank you.
  3. Hi Fred, thank you so much for that. I guess it’s possible. It certainly seems to have some good age to it. Would be fantastic if we knew it to be true. Ralph. Just remembered, the word ‘From’ made me think it may not just be an ordinary knife from the club shop.
  4. Brilliant. Thank you very much for you help.
  5. Sorry, and of course the knife is a treasure.
  6. Thank you. There will be more good stuff amongst the other items. I think the risettecis fantastic, i’ve Never seen a football one of that quality.

  11. Good evening Ghost, thank you so much for that fabulous reply. I can only dream of supporting a team that their fans can discuss touching an FA Cup winners medal won by a player representing their team, and in the local shop to boot! Fabulous. It was a pleasure to read. I will of course let you know when the items go on ebay, I'm expecting it to be a couple of weeks from tonight. There are a few other nice pieces, a 1933/34 official Wednesday handbook. a 32/33 season Sheffield Telegraph football guide with Mark Hooper on the front, a couple of complimentary tickets foe 1930 FA Cup games at Hillsborough against Burnley and Bradford Park Avenue, the BPA ticket is unused and still has the tab/stub on it, a lovely post card sent to Mark at Hillsborough from his old Darlington team mates at the Queens Hotel, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and signed by 22 of them. I hope you are able to bid and own one or more of the pieces. All the best. Ralph.
