  2. Yes the results were marginally better with the same players but Monk had more time with the existing players and had a hand in the signings. Pulis (from Matchday 12) had double game weeks in his first five weeks so not much time to train or get to know the players. My argument isn't about if someone should've stayed or been sacked, just that it's an uneven comparision of Pulis in 6 weeks against Monk in just over a season...
  3. Out of context. Monk had much better players to work with courtesy of Steve Bruce. We were 3rd in table last year until Fletcher was unavailable then we declined and finished 16th with Murphy and Nuihu scoring the lions share of the goals during that decline. All those players and others were no longer at the club when Pulis joined and was handed over poo replacements. In six weeks under Pulis every week was a double fixture week apart from the last.   5. Unfair to say Pulis made us worse than under Monk. Monk had Bruce's (decent) signings to work with and took us from 3rd to 16th, then lost all the decent players we had and brought in poo . Pulis then had to work with the poo Monk left behind and never had a fair crack at it...
