  1. The defence has been good, but look at the quality of saves from the shots that got through. With the lack of goals they have been invaluable and I don't personally think CK would've been anywhere near as good to keep the goal safe...
  2. Very possible. Flares are making a comeback, I dont remember people wearing them personally...
  3. You still can't say "we'd have (this many) points", as if the decisions we're different it would change the whole dynamic of a match. if the decision was different and a goal was scored from it the other team would react in a different manner, so the game wouldn't follow the same pattern. You can't just lump the "missed points" on after the whistle.
  4. Firstly, all teams will have their fair share of decisions "going against them" so those points wouldn't be guaranteed to make a difference, everyone would have a "what if" points tally. More importantly, who cares? A referee should not be proven to be right or wrong based on after match scrutiny and endless video replays. Their decision was made in an instant sometimes with a limited and single plane view. They have lots of things to consider and can't be expected to get things "right" all of the time. I'm all for analysing post match for discussion but a referee shouldn't be vilified for a decision that others don't agree with. Review their performance, give them chance to improve their on the spot decision making, but accept it for what it is because I personally wouldn't wish to see off the pitch refereeing. It's all about the decision of one man on the pitch, and I think it should remain that way...
  5. Nah. Youth, pacy runs and good ball control. Get em in!
  6. Worth a try? Sod that. First choice partnership in my opinion. They could run riot
  7. Francis. Finished lower every season, made some awful signings and ruined the future of the club. Only decent season he had was with the team he inherited. It was an eventual demise from there on.
  8. Ive just paused the coverage from The Football League Show and can confirm my original thoughts are correct. At the point of contact with the ball the receiving player was onside as he timed his run to perfection...
  9. No it HAS ALREADY been played, clearly not on the ground. When it was first touched the goalscorer was onside...
  10. No, im right. You get over it. The rule should be applied when the ball is first touched. In the pictures we have seen so far, the ball has left the ground so is already in play, making the position of the attacker irrelevant. At the point when the ball was first touched, he was in an onside position.
  11. That player wasnt involved in active play...
  12. I was referring to the second picture...
  13. The still picture also clearly shows the ball has left the ground so has already been played, making the attackers postion totally irrelevant...
  14. He wasnt active. His position wasnt affecting the defenders positioning whatsoever...
  15. So where are the fancy lines to point out that in that shot, the ball isnt on the ground so has already been played hence the position of the attacker in that picture is totally irrelevant.
  16. The first goal was onside. He was inline when the ball was first touched...
  17. Like I said before, this picture is inaccurate because the ball has already been played...
