I'm sure you've seen average touch maps previously. This an adaption that looks at how many times each player passes from one player to another (Shown by an arrow). Thought it's worth sharing to show how well we defended today, restricting Forest to pass frequently between the midfield/defence with very few passes reaching the forward two. If you wan't to see ours comparatively take a look at this link https://twitter.com/cl_ftbl/status/833000717816328192

Here is Norwich's passing map for the Blackburn game. Play mainly through Tettey/Hoolahan with a big focus down the left side.

Well as I say in the article, they both possess different traits and both are better at different things (I.e McCormack dribbling/ Hooper heading). The whole point of the article was to say if we were to sign him as a main source of goals, we should save our money and look no further than Gary Hooper who is more prolific when considered in context. I also suggest that they could even link up together as a strike partnership moving FF to the left and playing Hooper as a target man role with McCormack off him.

Following on from an excellent suggestion yesterday, I have produced another article on why we shouldn't spend an inflated transfer fee on Ross McCormack and instead look to get a full season out of Gary Hooper. Let me know what you think! https://clftbl.wordpress.com/2016/06/18/why-sheffield-wednesday-shouldnt-sign-ross-mccormack-for-8-12-million-anyway-swfc-ffc/

https://clftbl.wordpress.com/2016/06/17/rumour-sabri-sarioglu-sheffield-wednesday-recruitment-analysis-swfc/ Take a read of my article about how Sarioglu compares to Jack Hunt.

With a lot of interest in my other posts (Hull Opposition Analysis / Post Mortem) I've got a new post to share with you assessing rumoured signing Sabri Sarioglu to our current first choice right back, Jack Hunt. https://clftbl.wordpress.com/2016/06/17/rumour-sabri-sarioglu-sheffield-wednesday-recruitment-analysis-swfc/ Let me know what you think!

Sheffield Wednesday Post-Mortem [Article]

Thanks for your comments. Yes their big aggressive midfield was a real tough test. Luckily I'm not the one to make these decisions but I would have been tempted to put Nuhiu on earlier to try and knock his way through their defence with brute force. But I'm not a manager and I have full belief in Carlos. -

Thanks for your comments. It's data provided by Opta, I then manipulate them in statistical software. -

Thank you -
Having had a fairly positive response from the last article I posted on here, I have done another analysing what went wrong in yesterdays defeat. It's certainly not a negative one, more so a review of what Hull did so well to stop us playing our natural game. Give at a read and let me know what you think https://clftbl.wordpress.com/2016/05/29/play-off-final-defeat-sheffield-wednesday-post-mortem/

https://clftbl.wordpress.com/2016/05/26/hull-in-numbers-opposition-analysis-of-hull-city-fc/ I can't imagine this being too popular but thought I would post it anyway. I have done an article assessing the threat that Hull City pose for tomorrows game. Take from it what you will, and I hope at least some of you will enjoy it. Thanks

That kind of thing is just stupid and is pure vanity and arrogance. Diagrams should be made to be understandable (hopefully like mine) and not to confuse the person looking at it
-
Another diagram which people probably won't understand. NPG90 - Non-Penalty Goals per 90 Mins A90 - Assists per 90 Mins SCnpg90 - Score Contribution (Goals + Assists) per 90 Mins Zamora is the most efficient striker in the league, so it should come as some relief he isn't fit. Knockaert is a massive threat also.
