Or you could see the start of Dawson’s season with a better, settled defence as a more accurate example of his ability.....a period where, despite the ending, meant that his season’s clean sheets ratio was better than that of many people’s ‘best keeper in the league’

Please don’t say that Dawson has a better record than Westwood you have a short memory if you are .

Not at all, 4 years ago he was the best keeper in the league by miles. Time and injuries have caught up, no way is he the same keeper who alone kept us in the playoffs on many occasion.

You have to accept when players are past their best to leave sentiments aside and move them on.

Well I agree with you . Why did he get a new 2 year contract if he’s supposedly so bad though ? I will never understand Chansiri and whoever it is that banish players and pay them for nothing It just doesn’t make sense .

Anyone who does not think that Westwood is past his best obviously have not watched his performances over the past 2

    years.

Yes he loves himself which is fine, can live with vain players when their performances justify it .

His ego does not match his performances, simple as.

You just don’t like the bloke

What about the penalties he gave away and the reading debacle.??

All our keepers have made basic mistakes. You will know that though . The thing with Westwood is he has been at a much higher level of consistency and for me the better of the 3 we have . The simple fact is we don’t have a number 1 keeper now Westwood is banished and  apparently passed it and blagging injury .

New keeping coach is being set up to take a look and confirm he's not a good fit anymore and get rid.

Really is that what he’s here for , what will he do after that , leave ? Some folk !!!

Haven’t a scooby doo pal , but I’m fairly confident it will be a sum nobody else is willing to pay him currently

That’s the thing though you are saying he is on phenomenal wages , just wondered how you knew this . Guessing doesn’t help

Wasn’t head and shoulders above Dawson or Wildsmith before he got dropped last time, not even close

He’s got to earn that shirt back, up to him wether he wants to do that or not , we all know what he’s capable of

All this carry on about been injured or

not been injured, and managers giving him a hard time , or the club not wanting him to play has got to stop really

If Westwood does what he’s good at, he’s No1 at this football club , that simple really for me

Wasn’t It announced that Dawson was  to be the number 1 keeper ? Bit off putting to a 30 odd year old who has clinched more points for us since the Carlos days than any other player . Your right though if he’s good enough pick him

No and no team expects their rivals to benefit from players who are only at a club because of rule breaking.

To think our fans wouldn't be screaming "EFL vendetta" if the positions had been reversed is naive I believe.

Well ok but I wouldn’t be that desperate .maybe we should hope a couple of clubs go into administration next season so we can stay up !! Of course having a inexperienced owner putting us in this position in the first place is the real issue

Because we’ve benefited this season from players whose wages contributed to the earlier P&S problems. They should have been sold to help balance the books.

I can see why they’re unhappy. The penalty should have been levied as soon as possible.

My point being that no team at the beginning of a season expects to escape relegation by means of a points deduction

If it was the other way round our fans would be livid, but its not and we have dodged a bullet so happy days.

I certainly dont feel sorry for them because they are rubbish and didnt get enough points to stay up. Cant rely on other teams punishments.

    Screw Charlton!

Why would we be livid ? You’ve just pointed out the lack of points and being rubbish , if that was us in their position wouldn’t it be only right that relegation followed ? .

Wigan got their 12 points off this season.

Illogical that ours should come off next season, when this season hasn't ended.  Still PO Final to go.

I can understand why Charlton are angry.   We'd be furious if the boot was on the other foot.

I don’t agree , we should be embarrassed if we were hoping on a teams points deduction to keep us up

    They have my sympathy.

We have cheated and our delayed punishment has directly affected another club, for the worse.  Charlton have huge issues, they could be the next Bury FC.

We shouldn't revel in their anger, we are the ones that have done wrong.

They had a full season to try and accumulate enough points to stay up , they couldn’t manage it , we haven’t relegated them their players have .

I saw him a lot and he was excellent and there is an argument to be had between him and Vardy, it's comparing him or saying he was better than Shearer that I can't begin to comprehend.

Shearer had  a fantastic career there’s no doubt about that and there’s no argument there  but I honestly believe , not through my loyalty to Wednesday and Hirsty that In David  Hirst we had a striker as good as any other , he had the lot and the injuries he suffered did hold him back from matching shearers and any other top strikers stats .

Ahh right... David Hirst was the best in the country but, was continuously overlooked by England? When England did take a look, he’d have been loads better than Shearer but got injured?

So you are saying Hirsty was overrated or his supporters are exaggerating ?  I’m at a loss as to why anyone would question his stature in the game at his peak . What exactly is your point , do you not think he was that good ?
