  1. How can this clown say its a difficult place to come. They've not won there since August? Moore has to go. One of the most clueless managers we have ever had. There is just zero game plan at all. At least with other terrible managers ie Monk and Pulis you knew what they were trying to do albeit unsuccessful. There is no blueprint or identity at all. Have we had one good 90 minute performance in the league - NO Does it look like improving - NO We play like strangers for around 75 minutes of every game. We have tonnes attacking talent and afraid to use them. How long do you keep playing players that do not pull weight yet give no chances to others. We are playing terrible and still with a play off shout. Give another manager a go and watch us shoot up the league if the players are used correctly. Only one league win was comfortable all the others we have been holding on at the end desperately.
  2. Agree with this - - position is flattering when looking at performances. Oxford first half was worst performance I can remember in terms of team cohesion. We are getting worse not better and team look clueless. 11 games in I expected a lot more. There isn't even a direction or clear idea forming as to how or what we are trying to do. We have been holding on at the end on most wins. Bolton, Wigan, Fleetwood(after promising first half). Why can't we kill a game off?
  3. This for me. Don't really understand what Newcastle fans expected with him. Hes overall done well and not able to afford/compete the level of investment to take them to the European spots. I would happily take Newcastle's position with Ashley in charge. Newcastle fans just think their bigger than mid-table.
  4. Don't know who to name. What a shambles that game was. First half was possibly worst I have seen in a long long time. We couldn't string 2 passes together. Better second half. Referee warning their goalkeeper about timewasting three times without booking. BPF not coming out twice to allow for two chances (of which Oxford didnt score luckily). Linesman second half not having a clue. Midfield was just walked through first half it was pathetic. Winning next to no 50/50 headers from long balls all game. Clear penalty not given. No team cohesion - Moores time running out as fans will start (or already have turned) If there was even a minor team improvement where passing was improved or there was a clear plan/identity coming into effect it would make more sense. I cannot see any of that. Look clueless and like strangers.
  5. That 4-1 Leicester game was something else! Brunt vs Leeds best out of lot for me.
  6. very good start. Actually think he made a few saves against Fleetwood too and made it look easy. Look solid and so does the whole backline - Palmer and Hunt look confident and comfortable whilst Iorfa/ Hutch will not let in many at all. Early days but could be on for a record clean sheet year.
  7. 100% they should. Im saying initially if we cannot pass the ID thing through surely the minimum is close these accounts.
  8. Agree with OP. This has to stop. Proof of innocence etc has to also be ironed out with the companies for example FB or Twitter in regards to hacking. I saw a disgusting tweet aimed at the players that missed the penalty. The Avatar was a white man. It was highlighted by Stan Collymore etc. However, apparently it turned out is was a black man that made a bad racist 'joke' pretending to be a white man. We need the ID's to punish these people. How is that a joke? Especially with everything this country has been through the last year. We HAVE to make this happen and hold people accountable. Why cant twitter automatically delete these tweets and close account right away. Surely they can do that right away without 'intruding' on peoples human rights. (I dont think this is intruding).
  9. Disagree on this one. We haven't conceded and have controlled games. Been boring but it has been professional. Played Croatia - WC runners up Czechs - had a good tournament and it could have easily been them in the semis - they knocked out Netherlands Germany - always a good tournament team - have a lot of quality 3/5 games were difficult. Could argue Scotland is difficult as different animal but not on paper. Denmark will be tough but no more difficult to navigate than Germany/ Czech or Croatia.
  10. Not a forum for a debate such as this. The OP was about who is watching the Euro's. I am watching as much as possible just FYI and will support england as my only 'chance' of silverware in football for me.
  11. Wow some of the posts on here. People need to get a grip. Alex Scott was a million miles the best pundit when she was a pundit in the studio - (I think when Chelsea played us in FA cup). She was the only one that had done her research on SWFC whereas her male counterparts hadn't got a clue. In fact with the money in the game - Sky put out some pathetic commentators and pundits for championship football. They misrepresent facts all the time and clearly are not experts in the field as opposed to PL football. HOWEVER, the only person that bothered to learn about us and do their homework was Alex Scott. I would rather 5 Alex Scott's than any other pundit who hasn't even bothered to learn our players. She impressed me and wiped the floor with interesting knowledge about us whereas the male counterparts were just basically guessing. I am glad she is at the Euros. for me the old guard's stories are becoming outdated anyway. Souness/ Keane/ Linekar can go if it wasn't for Keane/Souness being controversial and argumentative and Linekar being a squeaky clean pundit - I don't think the broadcasters would keep them. All the newer pundits I like as its more relevant in the modern game.
  12. Clubs done IMO. No transparency, no players, debt ridden, no ground, cant pay players. Seriously we are finished and the murder of our club at the hands of Chansiri is becoming slow and painful with ONLY bad news since January 2020
  13. I honestly think we should protest. First game of the season - sit in North and organise a huge banner highlighting the decline. I think we should make it as toxic as possible until he rectifies issues or leaves. Stand under South and on the bridge making it near impossible to leave. All non-violent as you lose empathy from other teams supporters like the Man Utd fans recently did from my point of view. We need media coverage and this could turn into a protest against most owners but also the EFL who have a lot to answer for our (and other teams) struggles due to restrictions. We have to get DC out or get him to reconsider the way we are run. At a minimum he has to step away and let football people run the club and with him becoming a quiet investor if he wants any return in the next 10 years. Ideally I would have him out completely but understand he won't leave
  14. Think Dom got this spot on. The brown nosing is just what is needed to get DC to listen and compromise. As a reporter he has to keep him somewhat onside. If he goes in with an 'attack' DC will not let him near the club so their has to be a bit of bowing down to get point across. This is what happens with dictators. DC has to go. Even hiring a DOF/ CEO wont work as he is too arrogant with decisions.
  15. He values SWFC at £160M. What a joke. I fear the ticket prices for next year on our 'promotion push' after signing another load of rubbish. If we were actually allowed in this year we would have paid the most expensive tickets to watch easily the worst SWFC team post millennium. His value for money is so far out of touch.
  16. Got to sell and start again. Sell Iorfa and Luongo although I doubt these two will fetch much with injuries although they are good players. Keep Windass as I really think he will be a top scorer in L1. Get rid of these goalkeepers. The fans don't and will not ever rate them. They know this so its never going to get better. We need a fresh start.
  17. Personally think fans should club together for a huge banner in the north facing him when were all allowed back. The banner needs to have bullet points as to why we want our club back. Or even with that image that has the owl rots from the top that has been going around. I think we should make it as toxic (non violent) as possible in order to get him out. Straight after game we need to surround the South stand and chant until he is forced to sell up. Problem with these kind of protests is that there is always one idiot who will throw a bottle or make it destructive and violent etc. This loses the right kind of media attention that we need to highlight ownership issues in lower leagues and not just the EPL If anyone thinks this will affect the teams promotion push is in la la land. We are going no where and we will have to pay for it with expensive tickets as well as DC will sell it to fans as a promotion push.
  18. I think you have misread my post. You mentioned bespoke kits, young players and ground improvements. What part of that are we not doing (albeit badly). Do you think Brentford asked their fans if they should sign Ivan Toney? Unfortunately this will not happen in English football whether I want it or not. We are attempting option 2 just terribly and this will not change whilst DC is at helm. From the youth players mentioned we got minor compensation. Other clubs would have got more money and ensured contracts signed to then force larger deals. We have improved ground - tv, pitch, bar areas etc. The kits are better IMO than Nike etc. So the things you want we are actually doing its just not how you imagine it. The thing is everyone wants a Brentford model where they buy cheap and sell expensive but they are one of a handful of clubs (if not the only club) run this way as they have scouts at the highest level. It is so difficult to replicate correctly as a large percentage of young player decisions are risky and fail.
  19. Not defending Chansiri as he has been non-existent and just a totally shocking Chairman. However, Your option 2 where you make a list is somehow already happening. We have a bespoke kit manufacturer and i think the kits have been better than what top brands have put out generically. Didn't he also change the KOP bar area and put a local draught on? Also are we not already trying kids, recently had a few come through we just lack the management to keep hold of them - more recently - Clare, Thorniley, Urhoghide (bound to go) and Hirst, Dawson, Wildsmith, Penney and Shaw. Completely understand that some are not good enough but they have been trying this approach in a way since Luhukay? The problem is that we are trying approach two and still failing in a way. The reason for this is Chansiri alone as he is too stubborn to get people to run his club and clearly has lost interest.
  20. Start the rebuild process for League 1. We will not attract Championship players in position we are in or we will have to overpay in wages and transfer fee's if we did. Get rid of wages from key individuals - Rhodes (if even possible), Bannan Reach, Lee's and any other high earners. Sad to say to get rid of best players but we are down - no way out so got to start reshaping and gelling a team. Even get rid, again if possible of Westwood (best GK of last 20 years). Keep Dawson as I think this will be his level. Keep Dunkley, Harris, Windass, Palmer, Borner, Luongo (if possible but think he will want out). Need some target men and players that can cross.
  21. This is what comes to my mind. Poor squad this year. Getting rid of some decentish players at least good enough for this level to offload wages. With us odds on surely to go down it doesn't look/ feel as though the club will be around much longer. No one in their right mind would take us over with amount of debt/ not owning ground etc. The gamble didn't pay off. He had to keep investing but FFP prevents this and ruins us in comparison with other clubs and failure payments. If we were allowed continued investment who knows if he would/wouldn't put in. As well as blaming the owner for hugely poor mismanagement I believe the FFP rules are disgusting and crippling for businesses also.
  22. Agree with this. Who even are our strikers? I overestimated our Summer signings but we let go of (can't believe I'm saying this) Nuhiu who would have worked well in either Monk's or Pulis' style. We have: Windass - not a striker Rhodes - not a striker anymore. If your slow you need to be able to hold up the ball and he can't. Paterson - unsure of position Marriot - injured but looked awful anyway. Windass our best attacking option and is more of through ball player rather than target man. I think Monk signed these players as he sold a dream to get out of -12 which can show great character. When we got out of the -12 management lacked the ambition to sell to the players the next dream of getting out of relegation etc. This also shows how weak our character can be riding on zero confidence.
  23. Same here. He barely deserved it after season before but ten games I thought from start of season. However, as we cannot get out of minus points he has to go - especially after losing against all three relegation battlers without scoring. So in effect the 10th game does not matter now sp he needs to go even if we win 5-0. Garry Monk is the most useless manager we have ever had. His arrogance in the position when looking at the stats is astounding. Dropping key players when we were going OK was baffling. Signing all these players but not one that can score is crazy. Signing a bunch of crocks is mental. I like Izzy Brown but we needed someone able to put in 40+ games a season with the budget he will cost. The horrible tactics. List is endless. The guy's career is over. Who would want him after this shambles. As a side note I do also blame DC but with current squad and teams we have played we should already be in plus points. Surely no one can defend that? He will never win me round as he is not capable to play in a way which I find entertaining. He will never win the amount of games required this season.
  24. Agree with most of the above. I would call for most managers to replace GM as it would make a better impact than current. Just like Bruce made an impact from JL by playing best players I think a new manager would also play best players in position this would see an upturn in results. Its obvious that Monk is clueless. Stats back this up. The performances are not even trying anymore its pathetic. Completely agree rot starts from the top. I used to like Chansiri and thought he would keep investing until we got to PL. Sadly EFL rules are a farce and he cannot do this. From season 1 and 2 it has been a shambles and we are crying out for someone who knows what they are doing like a DOF and CEO. I was wrong but I wanted the gamble just like most fans. We overspent badly and now still continue to invest poorly. Aside from poor investments the EFL also are to blame. Never ever in business would you be capped at expenditure so why are we? FFP rules a joke. However I also think DC is hiding behind this. But it seems that since this EFL ruling more clubs have been in trouble than saved so the EFL should let teams invest what they need to. I blame Monk the least out of three main problems form EFL, DC and GM. That doesn't mean to say that I want him to stay. Paul Cook, Graham Alexander or most coaches would be an improvement on Monk so no point defending him. The arrogance to drop our best keeper for Dawson is crazy. Backed up by when JL did this to when Bruce took over. Steve Bruce is a great manager and put KW straight back in team. I trust Bruce judgment over Monk and JL. The worrying part is across football as a whole. If SWFC wanted to break even in the modern game where would we be? Fighting relegation in League 1? We are a big club with a big fanbase but if we spent within our means we would be so much lower. Football as a whole is mental the amount of money thrown around.
