How much did Bullen want to tell 'dad Simon' to man up and stop being such a whiney entitled b*tch, do you reckon?

    :duntmatter:

If he did that I’d be doing an 8pm clap for Bullen

    and a 9pm one

    and a 10pm one

    and a 11pm one

    .......

If we are to play with just the one up front, yes three would suffice. All would need to be of similar style and ability, and key to operating a smaller squad, would be to have a decent U23 set up, where players could step up if needed Not sure that too many of our current U23s could do that

From the outside looking in, it appears they don’t have the first clue what formation they prefer or deem the best moving forward-so that’ll make renewals and recruitment more difficult

Ha ha yeah, however, just a brief scan through the Championship squads, and 5 or 6 does appear to be the norm. Is it necessary, as you say, with sides generally playing just the one up, I don’t know

I think most clubs are made up of 2 or 3 main forwards - I.e wages/profile/expectations, then youth players or loans if necessary add to this.

Id be disappointed if we signed 5 forwards in the summer

Thanks for your concern but I’m fine thank you. I’d say the person more in trouble is anyone who can’t see that that saying only 1 of Fox and Fletcher is worth keeping is a foggy statement at best......listening to you, you make out it’s like a throw up between Nuhiu and Hirst

just for you then Einstein- I wouldn’t sign Fox

Wouldn't surprise me if we finally see a reversal in power after this mess.

The club's will be the ones who hold all the cards and the players have take it or leave it offers.

Lots and lots of players may find themselves without clubs if they don't drop their wage demands.

If the 2 offers on the table were made before this enforced break, they were probably very decent and if I'm honest we should remove them and re-evaluate our options.

why should it not have been like that before?

Clubs were ran by cretins before this I presume they’ll be ran by cretins after it

The concern for me would be the number we would need to recruit. For example, if we let all those go, and finally manage to offload Rhodes, we will need to bring in 5 strikers for a start. We’ve struggled in that department for years, unable to identify even one, despite having millions at our disposal

Why would we need 5 strikers???

They have known who is out of contract and hopefully who is worth keeping for 12 months or more, so you would hope that they have identified a good number of players. We could have been talking to foreign out of contract players since January

Totally agree, any club worth it’s salt will know exactly what needs to be addressed.

The majority of our players out of contract wouldn’t take much replacing to be fair.

The ending of these contacts should be a huge positive with the promise of using their wages to get players in who are up to the standard

Out of the dozen or so out of contract their are only 2 or 3 that are even worth a discussion on renewing

  8. I was delighted when he was appointed.

Always saw his teams as hard working, decent effective and efficient football, with a strong mentality

I was impressed with his Leeds and Birmingham sides when they played us - I was very impressed with the boro side that beat us (before he got the boot)

He started off with the team showing all these attributes

We had a bad run over Christmas and he totally lost the plot for me

Changing the formation, the players, the style almost every game

He has serious work to do from the re start to get everyone back on board

    Sheffield Wednesday fans at Hillsborough.jpg

Some fans are prone to turning around when belting out their Sheffield Wednesday chants.

They spin around, arms aloft, take a huge deep breath in, then sing their hearts out to those sat/stood behind them, arms aloft, and proud as a button.

    Are you a turnarounder too?

The turnarounder always starts a song, almost taking their lungs out with the vigour at which they attempt to get everyone involved .........when no one joins in, the reverse turnaround is a painful watch

Reach is a great player who gets alot more stick on here than he should because he isnt that strong in the tackle.

Results since he has been out says we desperately need him back.

I think the fact he gets grief for being a Pansy is a bit of a nothing point - it’s a side issue that really doesn’t matter that greatly for where he plays - yes he couldn’t tackle a salad sandwich and has all the aggression of a barbie doll but I don’t think it’s why he gets criticised or more importantly it shouldn’t be why he gets criticised

He gets criticised by me for not being involved in the game enough with the talent he has - always seems far too happy being on the outskirts of the game (despite the occasional arm wave) - that’s the bravery I’m concerned about

Something that can never can never be levelled at Bannan (which ironically can be his downfall)

  11. I understand players in general are not the brightest bunch - ours are no different

But, we all want them to be a bit more candid in interviews rather than the template mundane answers they usually spout out - so we can’t really moan when they do and what they say is more or less correct

Just because some article has written this.. doesn’t mean it’s true. Flip me, if we believe everything the papers say... the world should have ended last week and Wayne Rooney has 3 kids to some granny in Latvia.

    That’s how horrible rumours start!!

It was 2 kids and Estonia
