  1. I’m not saying they’re bad players but have either of them done anything yet? We’ve actually got worse in the three games since they came in. And by desperation I meant being in a position where we’re throwing 3 players who don’t even belong to us straight into the first 11. How many loan deals have been a success for us? Kenwyne Jones, Joey O’Brien and Wickham last time he was here are the only ones I can think of. I can think of plenty more loans that have struggled here (McGeady, McManaman, Buckley, Bothroyd, Afobe, Showunmi, Aranalde, Will Keane, Barkley, Urby, Bates etc)
  2. We’ll have to agree to disagree on this. But how many well run clubs make 3 loan signings in January and then throw them all into the first team together?
  3. Based on what’s online and google the owners of Fulham, Barnsley, Stoke, West Brom, Bristol City, Preston, Ipswich, Reading and Cardiff are all richer than DC. And some fans on here seem to think we’re the only championship club impacted by FFP. I’ve even seen a poster say the only reason we didn’t get promoted was FFP
  4. I wasn’t using it to beat DC or the club, just an example of the sort of signings we can expect now. And having to make 3 desperation loan signings in January isn’t a great reflection on the recruitment prior to the season
  5. The only clubs he’s played more than 10 games for are FC Dordrecht, Novara, Spezia and Ascoli. They’re not exactly giants of European football are they? And he’s gone straight into our first team
  6. Looks well short of the standard to me but let’s hope you’re right. He doesn’t look an improvement on what we already had, we’ve actually got worse since he’s come into the team. And to be fair to the lad the championship is quite a big step up from the Dutch and Italian second divisions where he’s played most of his career
  7. I’d have said appointing a manager straight after Bruce left and doing some proper recruitment in the summer would have indicated he had the finances
  8. And his answer is to bring Da Cruz in on loan from Serie B until the end of the season?
  9. Why redevelop upon promotion if we have money? Isn’t that when we’d need the full capacity? Right now we could easily get the crowd into 3 stands. If we’re waiting for promotion, it’ll never get developed
  10. The fact we currently only have 7 or 8 outfield players contracted to the club for next season doesn’t suggest we’re a club stacked with cash does it
  11. So you’re happy that his 5 year plan was to go for broke in years 1 and 2 and then spend virtually nothing in the transfer market for the next 3 years? And money spent on the ground is exempt from FFP. If we’re loaded like you say, why hasn’t any money gone in to redeveloping Hillsborough?
  12. Can you explain to me then why we haven’t signed a player for over £1 million since 2017 and haven’t spent anything on the ground?
  13. As I said let’s see, I hope I’m wrong and it’s a big crowd. There’ll be quite a few who turn up to watch City. But there’s a lot of lads I know who aren’t going who’d normally be up for a game like this
  14. I never really get jokes like these. Whatever the actual figures are the fact is we’ve wasted millions we didn’t have in transfer fees and wages and it’s left the club screwed financially
  15. Going on holiday isn’t the issue. If I had his money I’d spend a lot of time on holiday aswell. The issue is who is running the club in his absence? Roman Abramovich doesn’t spend much time in the UK now but Chelsea have these people running the club for him: https://www.premierleague.com/clubs/4/Chelsea/directory Other than DC, who is there at Wednesday? The only other name I’ve heard is Redgate
  16. Did you see the crowd against Everton and the post from A12 owl? Let’s see anyway, I hope I’m wrong and we fill it
  17. Imagine being a Newcastle fan at that time and seeing Beardsley, Waddle and Gascoigne all get sold. What a team they could have had in the late 80s/early 90s
  18. What year would this have been? Wasn’t he already an established England international by the time he went to Liverpool? Remember his partnership with Lineker at México 86
  19. Yeah just look at us in the cup final replay in 93. As good as it is to be successful it can be a stretch financially for fans to keep making the trip to Wembley. And they’ve won the league cup 4 times in the last 7 years so all their fans have already seen them lift it. They’ll still sell out their allocation at Hillsborough comfortably
  20. Ha fair enough. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but personally I’d say he’s more credibility than the Chansiri apologists. DC‘S taken us to a position where it looks like we’re struggling to get 20k against Man City. Even under Dave Allen in the 3rd round of the FA Cup against City in 2007 there was over 28k at Hillsborough
  21. Will we have better stats against City than West Ham did tonight?
  22. What’s Kivo said to have no credibility? And who’s judging the credibility... casbah owl?
  23. To be fair it’s been quite a boring premier league this year mainly due to VAR and Liverpool being so far clear. They’ve basically nothing to play for already. And they have Real Madrid in the champions league and a league cup final coming up. Must be expensive following City and they don’t have as many plastic/tourist fans as Liverpool and Man U
  24. They’re available for all STs and members now?
