  1. So just need to get hammered by Reading on Saturday then.
  2. Didn't Lambert the Norwich job after they had lost the first game of the season? And that ended up pretty successfully.Other than that I can only think of keane at Sunderland who did it after 5 games I think.
  3. Just copy the Watford model. That way every manager is replaceable and we dont end up in this mess again.
  4. I absolutely love reading the replies to his tweets. Brutal. Must be one of the most hated people on football.
  5. The writer/ showrunner said they toned it down a bit too as even the actors said what they originally filmed was too upsetting to broadcast.
  6. Because I put a fiver on us to go down and I am rubbish at betting
  7. It would be very interesting if Hirst ends up at Swansea come the end of the season.
  8. Wasn't that a midweek game? Think I went to that one.
  9. Haha yeah, seen as he walked away from a solid job in the prem when he just saved them I'd struggle to see why he would want to come to us. Yeah It does feel a bit like when Laws took over from sturrock. All the same players just unleashed the potential.
  10. You know he had most of last season at Palace and saved them from from the drop, don't you mate?
  11. He was so ruthless when he sacked Stuart Grey. That's what I don't get.
  12. I know it's been said before but I'd still like to see wildsmith out on loan for a season and get 40- 50 matches under his belt. Looks a talent though
  13. Fair point. The other side of that coin is that people would be vvanking themselves silly if we had just got into the playoff final like he's just done. He's dragged a team who looked nailed on to be relegated when they lost to us at Hillsborough last season to the playoff final all on the same budget of Rotherham. A bit of pragmatism goes along way in this league.
  14. I can see heckingbottom being another Danny Wilson. I'd have Wagner if I could choose any from the other championship teams
  15. The epitome of cant be arsed.Never forget the days of Maddix and Westwood being firsr choice centre backs. Paul Mcclaren signed from luton i think. Went to Rotherham. Phil Scott. 9 app in about 4 seasons. Richard Evans. Signed from brum had a good debut then disapeared. Steve Adams. Paul Sturrock favorite came from plymouth with him as a midfield "enforcer" went to truro city iirc Burton O'Brian - scottish young player of the year or summat. Rocky Lekaj - the great white hope of our youth team. And they are just the midfielders.
  16. Good but should've been built on a different site. Eveything that is great about it wouldve been there wherever it was built. Everything that goes against it is as much due to the location as anything else. As much as they try with all the murals they cant trick us into thinking it has the history of the old place.
  17. Are we not going to get a special retro kit for our centenary (and a half ) celebarations? All white with blue trim i reckon.
  18. True. But its the reality of the situations. The only way it will improve in our lifetime is if we move...unfortunately.
  19. I honestly think the Hillsborough disaster has and always will have a massive affect the way syp "manage" our home games. They arnt willing to give fans a inch and risk any incident occuring. Which just causes more disdane for them. It bacomes a chicken/egg situation. Syp could never do it softly softly like the met did yesterday.
  20. A left back and a right back for competition( much like spurs have done this season) Id like to see a pacy centre back in the squad. One that can pass too. Pace on the wing and someone to run at fullbacks is something we really lacked yesterday. A target man who can score but with some nouse too. A geniune top class all-action centre mid( lopez and Hutchinson wrapped in one) So to sum up - tge same as every other club in the country will be after. Lets hope our scouts have a fresh passport ready.
  21. Fair point. Perhaps trunkating the whole process by a couple of days or just sending a large proportion of the tickets to Hillsborough for people to pick up( I'm sure the club wouldn't mind the increased foot-fall through the shop). Making other tickets e- tickets for those that want them(saving most fans the £2 charge) and letting those that want them pay for express delivery (Asos got 3 pairs of jeans and t-shirts to me in 15 hrs, I'm sure a piece of card can get somewhere just as quick). Wembley could even have a ticket office open on the day. I'm not saying it's perfect put it would
  22. Yes, except you don't actually pick your seat number until after all the tickets are sold. That way you can change the boundaries of segregation if needed.
