  1. Would be a total joke if another of our fixtures gets lost because of international call-ups. It's League One FFS. The vast majority of players in this division will never get a sniff of international football. A reserve left-back getting a call-up for Djibouti (just a daft example off the top of my head) shouldn't result in an English third tier game getting rescheduled.
  2. Grasping at straws. We should be beating the likes of Shrewsbury.
  3. Bannan isn’t to blame for yesterday’s result. I’ve no idea why he’s taking penalties when we had experienced goal-scorers like Gregory and Berahinio available to take it instead.
  4. The last 3 performances and results show that’s not happening.
  5. How do you know Hughton wouldn't have been a great appointment for us? His sacking at Forest doesn't mean he couldn't have done a decent job had he been made SWFC manager.
  6. When did Hughton manage us? Some actual critical-thinking and self-awareness there. You sure you're a football fan?
  7. I'll be the first to admit that I'm stunned by the fantastic job that Moyes, Irvine and co have done at WHUFC in the last 18-20 months. Totally took me by surprise that one.
  8. I reckon Houghton still wouldn't touch us with a bargepole right now. And I couldn't blame him. Because of DC's mismanagement, we're set for a few years in the League One wilderness. Houghton's next job will be in The Championship IMO. Where he's been proven to be a decent manager over many seasons.
  9. Talk is cheap, so let's see what he's like on the pitch. I hate the "Moore-o" nickname for DM though. Doesn't reflect well on SB or DM.
  10. If DC has any sense (yeah debatable I know), Moore won’t be sacked anytime soon. He’s an average manager. But realistically, Moore is probably one of the better managers in League One.
  11. Isn’t it funny how certain millionaires can avoid doing time behind bars.
  12. Sounds like another Bothroyd/Ravel Morrison type. Why are we signing this clown?
  13. He will be a Championship player in 12 months. Whether that's with SWFC or another club, time will tell.
  14. Except that we’re averaging 1 goal per game, which will never get any team promoted. 1 goal per game is basically what you’d expect from a relegation-threatened team. Early days and all that but nothing to worry about? Deluded pal.
  15. Adeniran, Byers and Brown - Appropriate contract lengths given their respective ages. Gregory - He’ll be 33 years old tomorrow. Anything longer than a one year deal is daft. Hunt - what’s a 1+1?
  16. The tickets would still be valid for the rescheduled date should the fixture be moved, so what's the harm in having them on sale now?
  17. It's really poor that the club haven't already got tickets on sale for this to POTG supporters. The game is next week FFS.
  18. Credit to BPF; 4 out of 4 clean sheets in the league so far. But let's be reyt, that was a poor pen. The height of the shot made it very saveable.
  19. Bannan, Wing and Luongo is a Championship standard midfield. Got no concerns there personally. Its our lack of goal-threat that concerns me. Looks like Moore has set us up to play for a 0-0.
  20. Nice juicy sell-on clause would be imperative too. 2 words: resale value.
  21. I'm not against selling him - Green's been disappointing thus far. But I don't think we've got the squad depth to be selling our attacking options. We need to get out of League One this season. And Green should've had a part to play, albeit mainly as a bench player. Green's just turned 23 years old, has a point to prove this season. Plenty of potential to go onto be a player. If we sell for anything less than £2 million, it would be pïss-poor business. And proof that the club isn't learning.
  22. Didn't say he'd have kept us up. I mean, he could've done potentially. I think given all the off-field problems last season, it would've been a challenge for most coaches. All hypothetical now anyway. I think Cook is a decent coach - you clearly don't. Gonna have to agree to disagree here.
  23. Can you point out where I said he is a great manager?
  24. I would’ve taken Paul Cook as manager here at any point since Steve Bruce left. Cook’s a competent coach that has won promotions with 3 different EFL teams since 2014. I think he’ll get a fourth with Ipswich. I felt Cook would’ve been a decent candidate to keep us in the Championship despite the off-field turmoil here. Instead, the club hierarchy felt that the best way to go was to give that position to Monk (zero promotions as a manager, expert in getting himself fired), Pulis (dinosaur), Thompson (caretaker, out of his depth) and Moore (had little chance of keeping us up in fairness). How did that go?
  25. Relegation is never a good thing. Especially in the era of FFP & P&S, given the rebuild we’ve had to undertake. It’s imperative that we somehow get out of this crappy league at the very first attempt.
