  1. They have not been given nowhere near the game time as he has however each manager will always have their favourites and the 3 you mentioned are clearly not CCs
  2. Walters does not have a bad goal record either though and fits the Stoke style of play very well. If we are wanting to play silky football would it not be better to have 2 strikers who have one thing that every defender fears...pace and get a midfield enforcer to give us the steel.
  3. I don't think that any of us hate him but as I stated earlier we are expecting to see end product i.e. goals which are somewhat lacking from the big lads CV
  4. He knows the area and if it's for a nominal fee or free then as you say he has a proven record at this level so would be worth a try. However would we play him up top or out wide?
  5. Not sure at all he fell off the radar when he got injured under Big Sam and I haven't really heard anything since.
  6. I am not saying he is not a striker just not in the mould of Noo Hoo! If we sign any of Nolan, Shola etc then it is for the short term not always a bad thing but I would rather have someone signed who will give the club a decent return Vaz Te would be interesting and he has gas to burn are West Ham selling?
  7. Antonio was raw when he was here and had a brilliant season for Forest last year, rumour mill is that Boro are in for him - I wonder if we put a sell on clause in the deal!
  8. I think he will be back after the international break hot to trot and rearing to go!
  9. Agreed but Shola Ameobi is 30 odd and Vaz Te is not an out and out striker. We could look at Nolan who has an excellent scoring record playing in that advanced midfield role, but his wages again will be huge. As Bluesteel also says we need a bit of muscle in the middle and Joey Barton could provide that.
  10. I think he needs to acquire a proven goalscorer McCormack is that but 10mill is silly money. Nugent also overpriced as he has never been consistent in the goalscoring department. They may wait and see what is available from the Premier League towards the middle of tomorrow as there will be players who will be surplus to requirements from quite a number of clubs.
  11. I don't know but agree with all the sentiments on here about 10mil being to much for McCormack! Vydra would be a good acquisition but we need to play the channels then and not use the high ball as much, which in theory would suit our more allegedly attacking style this year. They will be asking telephone numbers for wages and none of them have been prolific
  12. If he is on the money he does bring in other players quite well but I am afraid we all remember the glaring 2 yard misses and misplaced passes. He does put a shift in but now that we are dining further up the table so to speak we are all expecting more and the chances to stick and passes not to be misplaced.
  13. Agreed but he must have something for them to keep reverting back to him what I don't know but they all do. With regards to Jones at Cardiff I think he will stay there and they will want to keep him if he is given the service he has always scored goals, but wages will come into it obviously.
  14. If we sign another forward I think we will sell him if the offer does come in. I would also look at offloading Bus, and Lavery on loan but would like to see Stevie May given a proper chance with decent service coming into him. I think Jones will stay at Cardiff he scored at the weekend and they have been struggling in front of goal also.
  15. I am undecided on him and have been since he signed for the club when he scored at QPR on his debut. He gives us something that none of the other forwards do and that is the ability to hold the ball up and bring the midfield runners into the game, however his first touch is suspect and as we know his chance/scoring rate is less than average. If Derby are willing to offer 1 mill or above then I would personally take the money BUT on the other hand why sell one of your assets to potentially one of your biggest rivals for promotion?
  16. From HITC Website: Sheffield Wednesday forward Atdhe Nuhiu has emerged as a target for Championship rivals Derby County, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club. Derby have yet to record a win so far this season and Paul Clement is looking at entering the transfer market before Tuesday's deadline to bolster his squad. The Rams have hit only four goals in their opening five Championship games and Clement is ready to add to his attacking options. Clement feels Derby need a target man to help solve their goalscoring problems and believes Nuhiu would provide a good foil to Darren Bent and Chris Martin. Nuhiu joined Sheffield Wednesday in 2013 on a free transfer from Rapid Vienna and the former Austria Under-21 international has proved a real handful for opposition defences.
  17. Why what are they going to do in the Army? I forgot we brawl everyday at football matches and in pubs.
  18. York Owl also live out in the sticks though
