  1. On the right, on the right it's Iorfa, On the right, he'll run past you On the right, on the right it's Iorfa Iorfa is a darker complexion Cafu
  2. Partner is overdue giving birth to our son by two days. Don't think he's gonna make it out in time for kick off. She's not too keen on the idea of naming him after the scorers should we win. Baby Barry Rolando Fernando. It's got a nice ring to it
  3. Hopefully that's Reach out wide with Aarons, and not Bannan on the left again.
  4. Would have liked to have seen Aarons start ahead of Boyd. But other than that, solid line up. Hope we get to see half an hour of Iorfa today too.
  5. I live in Cornwall, so booked a hotel in Manhattan for the night. Google maps seems to think it's 3k miles from the stadium so I'm assuming there is a few road diversions in place at the minute.
  6. Why sign players if you don't play them Mr Carlos
  7. It's crazy that he's been here a couple of days, he's discovered if you play your better, more experienced players you play better. You can win matches, and keep clean sheets. It's almost as if, a top player who only manages 30 games a season and getting wins, is better than having weaker players, playing 50 games and losing every week. Bruce must be a wizard.
  8. I think the pace will allow us to play higher up the field too. Our lack of pace has seen us have to sit in deep. Having players that have the pace to get back should let us play 10 yards higher, allowing us to play more aggressive and get in teams faces.
  9. I think Bruce will play 5 at the back. Fox has done enough to keep his place of late, but if Lazaar shows form when given the chance I think he'd be a more effective wing back. Hector, Iorfa and Lazaar would give our defence plenty of mobility, backed up by assertive, no nonsense defending of Thorniley and Lee's.
  10. I'm surprised we got loans at this stage. I understand the Iorfa signing, but not the loans. Bringing in players like Iorfa who are young, pacey and strengthen our weakest position is perfect. Get players like this in whilst we can, before the inevitable embargo. The loans could see us forced into a hard embargo and then leave offering us nothing. Maybe Chansiri hasn't given up on the playoffs yet, and this is one last push.
  11. Scratch that. It was meant to be Westwood!
  12. Not the team for Saturday, but in general, what do we think will be the favoured 11 for Steve Bruce? I'd go:
  13. Was interesting regarding Villa too. They are in the same situation but still splashing out high wages on impressive loan signings? Can they just go it, and if they don't gain promotion sell Grealish? Or have they gotten around it another way?
  14. I think Bruce didn't understand the no budget thing. He made it sound like he doesn't have a set budget, only a blank cheque book. But in actual fact, it means he's got nothing at all.
  15. Am I alone in thinking Bruce looks a bit scared of Chansiri?
  16. Danny Murphy there reporting. Room being rearranged after Bruce threw multiple chairs at him.
  17. I for one, don't think there's another time to achieve it. But it has to be the target this season. Give the players something to chase, something to aim for. Otherwise the season fizzles out, and we play out the remainder of the season in front of a bored, half empty Hillsborough. But... Here's the February fixtures. Wednesday: Ipswich (A), Reading (H), Millwall (A), Rotherham (A), Swansea (H), Brentford (H) Boro: West Brom (A), Leeds (H), Blades (A), Blackburn (A), QPR (H) Derby: Preston (A), Hull (H), Ipswich (A), Millwall (H) Forest (A) Bristol City: Swansea (H), Blackburn (A), QPR (H), Birmingham (H), Norwich (A) Blackburn: Brentford (H), Bristol City (A), Reading (A), Boro (H), Birmingham (A) There are no easy games in this league. But I for one, think we've got the most winnable fixtures. Boro could either be fighting for Automatic or drop out of the running completely. Others chasing are playing each other. However unlikely, if we could gain 6 points on them in February... 5 points off with fixtures against some of those teams still to come. Come on Wednesday! Don't care if we don't make it, but please fight to make it interesting.
  18. Villa game will be a 1.00pm kick off on a Tuesday for policing reasons and to accommodate the eastern European and asian audience's. Sky policy to show no care about people going to games.
  19. If any don't play, you get your money back as the bet will be void.
  20. Bannan, Nuhiu, Kovacic and Zappacosta to be booked - 1000/1 on skybet, with money back if only 3 get booked. Definitely worth a couple of quid.
