  1. Thank you for your summary. Let’s simply say that we have different perspectives on the matter and that I fully expect that further measures could have been taken to change the experiences of so many, not just me. Indeed, measures that could or should be in place so that this becomes a permanent change and improvement. Further up the thread someone said that waited in the telephone queue for 40 minutes and someone else said they queued in the shop for 20/30 minutes (can’t remember which) and somehow this is acceptable and, by all accounts, totally unavoidable. There we disagree, but somehow I feel someone else will be making the same complaint in the future and they will likely be faced with another set of unavoidable circumstances. We live in a World that is very different from 2 years ago, so we need to adapt too. Simply going online is not enough, you need all channels to be effective under all circumstances. I feel I’ve said enough on the matter. Hopefully someone in the Club hierarchy will read this thread and question whether it is reasonable.
  2. Surely it’s equally unacceptable to say that it’s been crazily busy but they have manfully struggled to do their best, when the Club could have anticipated the additional demand from Xmas purchases and season ticket sales, plus mitigated the potential for loss of staff through COVID. In doing so we would be praising them and, importantly for the commercial arm of the Club, also spending our money in the shop and ticket office. Regarding this thread, it should not be about chiding and deriding each other by making up comments about why it is necessary to call the shop, but about highlighting where we are failing in order to have a voice to encourage improvement. I read on here recently about the issues with the catering and drinks facilities behind the Kop. They were so damning that I could only believe that the comments were fabricated - but now I’m not so sure. Good job I sit in the South stand - where there’s plenty of grouse in the country house …..
  3. I appreciate that today may be busy due to season ticket sales, but I started to try to make contact on Friday, which I understand would have been a more normal demand for these phone enquiries. I also appreciate that we live in a digital age where customers are encouraged to self-serve, but sometimes this simply isn’t appropriate. What is appropriate however, is that there should be mechanisms and processes in place whereby customers can get through and make contact, even if all that is requested is a call-back when Club staff have time free to talk. I don’t believe it is naive to raise concerns or to request others to comment on whether ‘they too’ have had similar frustrations with the quality of service we get. There’s no ranting or raving in any of my comments, so I am confused as to the passive aggression in your response to both my OP and some other respondents. That said, thank you to AlbertOwl for your comments re your purchases at the Leicester Tigers shop and the positive experience. Surely we are not above being able to learn from others and bring the same quality of sev ie to Hillsborough. It’s also interesting to read some of the comments (good and bad) about the catering at Hillsborough and other football stadia. Why shouldn’t we expect to be an exemplar of quality for all services at Hillsborough? ‘You too’ could have a voice and help the Club build on the services that are good and radically reform the poor. No - I’m not joking.
  4. Apologies for plagiarising the ‘Me too’ slogan, which was originally used to highlight a much more meaningful issue. However, I have recently had an appalling experience in trying to get through to the Megastore and the Ticket Office. The Megastore answer message states ‘your call can’t be connected at this time’ whereas the Ticket Office seems to always place me at No 15 in the queue and this never seems to reduce. It has been like this since Friday so what is going on? I managed to get though to someone on one of the other extensions and they apologised but said COVID and the new variant had left them short-staffed. My Machiavellian mind suggest this is somewhat of a trite and convenient answer, we have all had to learn to live and operate with this virus so surely it shouldn’t continue to be used. My apologies to the member of staff who was only trying to help, my disgruntlement and criticism is not intended for them. So why ‘Me too’. I was intending buying presents for Xmas and needed to ask some questions before proceeding. Hence wanting to talk with someone in the store. So, if I can’t get through and hence can’t spend - how many others are in a similar position. In exasperation, I have decided to shop elsewhere which means the club are losing out on my money. How many others have literally walked away in frustration with trying to make a purchase at the Club and at not being served? Maybe if we responded with ‘Me too’ the club would realise how much turnover they are losing, and just maybe they will try to redress the situation with a longer term solution. BTW - I have seen that the shop will now be open for extended hours in the lead up to Christmas. This isn’t much use to those Wednesdayites that don’t live anywhere near S6, so please can we have an ’offline’ option. Are you happy to respond with a ‘Me too’ statement?
  5. Blue and white stripes with large white back panel plus black shorts v red and white stripes (fading to white) with black shorts. Set against a backdrop of an electronic screen around the pitch with various iridescent colours. At times I couldn’t make out which team had the ball - no wonder my eyes hurt ! Anyone else struggle on Tuesday night with the team colour clash?
  6. great stuff, really like what he does. Hope he can keep it up for the season.
  7. Sometimes its hard to hide my disappointment at what is happening on th either side of the city; however we need to focus on us and not obsess about them bit a little bit of gloating is ok for a moment ;-)
  8. That was a really great review - thank you. You’re a natural and make 15 minutes (or so) flow, which isn’t easy, so watch out all you others VLOGs because you’ve set a high bar. Well done and thank you again.
  9. 12. Bootiful thank you. Let’s be aving yer, and break the £2500 target in 1 day Bhoy
  13. Bunch of Grapes on St Thomas’s St (next to London Bridge Stn), always a favourite with away supporters. alternatively, the Wheatsheaf in Borough Market is probably the best in the market. The Rake is good but expensive. Market order meh - think it doesn’t allow supporters. Barrow Boy meh - big chain type but with no style for my liking BTW - I used to live at Borough Market so know the places. Probably best to eat on Borough High St as the Market is tourist prices (but good if your pocket stretches to it)
  14. Whoop whoop - tickets have just arrived! In the words of McFadden & Whitehead .......’Ain’t No Stopping Us Now’ https://youtube.com/playlist?list=RDkWUU5XMVysU&playnext=1 Covered by Steve Walsh aint no stopping us now we’re going up, we’re going up etc Maybe this is a song for us this season? Hopefully and yes I am getting excited
  15. 3100 so suspect that there will be plenty left although I woodforde hope we would shift 2000+ I’m going and excited to be back at a live game. Here’s hoping for a great display and win to start the season off in style In the style of Delia - ‘Let’s be ‘aving yer’
  16. thank you to all for your comments and leads. CYA in London (hopefully)
  17. Can anyone provide an update on how our ticket sales are going for the Charlton game please? Any idea if they will make general sale on Wednesday ? BTW - I need 2 if anyone finds themselves with spares Thanks in anticipation
  18. Appreciate this is off thread, BUT you guys are beside yourselves with fear and dread. We will turn up and turn them over. They are 3 points ahead of us (or 3 behind if you ignore the -6 deduction) so they are a pile of pants too! We will overcome, I am blue and proud whatever the outcome UTO
  19. Not nervous at all. Thought we were relegated weeks ago so set my expectations then. Anything from tmw’s game will be a bonus and, assuming a win and trip ups for Derby / Rotherham, next week I will become a wreck
  20. Same as the young ‘un that came on for Norwich at Carrow Road. We were 1 up, this was his first ever 1st team game and he scores with a toe poke with his first touch ..... sometimes its just written on the wall .....
  21. Doubt it. they want to be in the top 2 of the playoff places to get home advantage in the 2nd leg. Think sadly that we were resting some players v Middlesborough
  22. Dedication. Dedication. Dedication. That’s what you need. If you wanna be the best, and you wanna be beat by the rest Dedication’s what you need. I think Roy Castle could also blow his own trumpet .... sounds familiar!
  23. That’s the spirit Chin up, don’t be down-hearted, its a record after all - not many teams can claim that and you may hold the record for eternity. Now doesn’t that make you feel good
