  1. POORINHO! Thinks he has the best passing team in the league, but had no alternative plan once we had a reshuffle after the first 20 minutes or so. GMs tactics were far superior on the night(& he knew it)! Back to the drawing board Mr. Robinson..........
  2. Yep, Tony Pulis rumoured to be very interested in signing Junior Hoilet from Blackburn............... Get in Megs! UTO.
  3. Jack Compton looked quality on left flank for Bradford City in JPT on Sky Sports last night. Admittedly he was up against a very poor right back (who got took off eventually) & it was just the one game I've seen him play, but his skill & crosses were exceptional. Right age, only 22 & on loan at Bantams from Falkirk. Gotta be worth a trial & would not break bank..................... I would LOVE to get Ben Marshall on a permanent deal though. Heard Stoke are looking at bringing in another winger so you just never know.....................
  4. Good news. He was unlucky to get injured so soon after joining & will be a great asset to us, once he's got a few games under his belt. I was talking to a loyal Bury/Shakers fan last week, who was absolutely gutted when he left & says their form has dipped considerably since he left them. He says he is a far superior player to their other main striker Andy Bishop, who has looked a bit lost without him. He also said that Ryan Lowe is very fleet of foot & quick thinking & is best playing just off the front, as his link up play is excellent. Hope he gets his chance soon as he would appear to be another astute signing by G.M!!
  5. 3-1 Wednesday. Don't care WHO scores them...............................
  6. Good post. This puts things in perspective.Could not attend the game last night & listened to "Player" until 3-0 down & instead of staying up & getting overly depressed about it all (Russ Wilcox doesn't help), I went to bed at 8.30pm (#@*!!). I then checked the final score in the morning & tbh thought it would be 7 or 8 after listening to the first 15 mins, so almost relieved to find it was 5-1! JJ being sent off after 87 mins was also very disapppointing, but we HAVE to move on & put this behind us & a much better performance & a win @ Yeovil will quickly lift spirits. Only Wednesday could do this, we all KNOW that just when you expect them to have turned the corner, they go and fail miserably. I feel for the loyal fans who were there last night & if nothing else, this team HAS to give them a performance on Saturday. It is just too easy to blame the manager all the time. Full credit must be given to Stevenage too. We will conquer this away voodoo & be ok...........................
  7. OWLS 2 Scunny 1 (Marshall, Lines) Attendance: 15,678
  8. HEART 1-0 to Wednesday. HEAD 0-2 Away victory for County, for whom Sheehan & Hughes will be a big threat.
  9. Please no, no & thrice NO!................ This just goes from bad to worse.
  10. I actually feel a lot better about things when you put it like that. Good post! . Add quality as we progress & when it becomes available & a good season could be in store. We must have luck with injuries with such a small squad. UTO. WTID.
  11. No.............Definitely OWLS 1 Rochdale 0 Don't care WHO scores it or HOW it goes in...................... Come on Wednesday!
  12. HEAD: Owls 0-1 O'Grady (nailed on)! HEART: Owls 1-0 (Prutton).
  13. Well said! (Pre)season after (pre)season we put have up with this, injuries to key player(s) & scrambling around for available/suitable/affordable players right up until the first league game & then taking months for them to "slot in". Could only happen at Wednesday, where your optimism is shattered before you even start! Having said that, still hopeful of some late developments on the transfer front & an opening day victory to restore everyones confidence!! UTO. WTID.
  14. Also, ex Wednesday legend Tommy Craig has just been shown in the St. Mirren dugout, as he is their current First Team coach. That is all...................................
