My hope is that he gets us to play with some intelligence.

Fed up with watching players make poor decisions, shoot when they should pass and vice versa, give stupid fouls away, pick up ridiculous cards, get on the wrong side of the ref from the start and basically playing like school kids.

    Be strong, be competitive but

use your brain , stop being naive.

    As I said, sheer stupidity

Having bought a pass I haven’t had email with code ???

You should get an email confirming your purchase but you don’t get a discount code.

You pay a tenner for away games and if you have completed your purchase properly then you will be able to log on and get access tomorrow

He was dropped after one more game.

Was it only one more, thought he got 3 or 4.

The problem was Fletcher and Rhodes played at Forest and it worked. Not just because Fletcher played but that was a big part of it.

A few games later we played at Stoke with Rhodes and Atty up front. Probably the slowest front two ever to start a league game and both were ineffective at best.

Rhodes played like he knew there was nothing good going to happen in the game and that was it .

Who knows what could have happened if Fletcher had stayed fit.

    Love this thread

Jordan has ‘ earned his chance’.  On one tap in this season , and scoring in one match last season.

I feel I have also earned my chance, as the other week I laced one past my 8 year son in the garden.

I suggest you watch the tap in again and watch the movement by Rhodes to get in front of the defender.

Might only be 2 or 3 yard but it shows how he scores his goals.

Anticipation , movement and gets a toe end to it.

Might look scruffy but none of our other strikers would have scored it.

Will it make any difference for Sheffield Wednesday

Well it might have made a difference against QPR where we conceded a late equaliser with only 10 men on the pitch because we had used all our 3 subs

  7. Get the ball into the box and Rhodes is our best chance of a goal.

However he obviously won’t score them all so if you are only getting a few balls in there like we have been he is still going to struggle.

Also he needs to build some sort of relationship with the guy putting the crosses in.

If we had played Reach left hand side and Rhodes up front every game this season we would have scored more goals than we have

  8. The biggest issue for Pulis will be whether he can cope with the way the club is run. The lack of structure and DC wanting to control everything has a massive knock on to the manager and what he is trying to do.

It will be very interesting to see what happens after Pulis has tried to work with for a few months.

Yesterday it seems from his conference that he couldn’t even find out if we could get Westwood eligible to play on Saturday.

  9. Bannan is only going to play one position for us.

That’s in the centre, mainly deep lying.

Play him wide, or play him further forward in this team and he just won’t get on the ball. If we don’t get him on the ball might as well be sat in the stands.

eg play him further forward against Preston on Saturday and he will have to win a physical battle with Pearson, not going to happen.

Carlos played him wide , but that was in a slow, possession based team to try and control the game.

When he upped the tempo for the last half an hour he would drop Bannan into the middle, bring an extra striker on and press high so that we were playing in the opposition half.

The thing we have to do is the whole team plays further forward so that Bannan is playing in the opposition half and not on the edge of our box.

  10. We just didn’t get enough players into the box last night.

It didn’t help that Kane kept dropping deeper and deeper.

He does with Spurs now but has the pace of Son, Moura and now Bale running ahead of him.

We didn’t have any of that .

Presumably our front 3 would be Sterling Kane Rashford when available which has got goals and pace in it.

The problem is he's not registerd to play because Monk purposefully excluded him from the list of registered players.

If we were to play him while he's not in the squad list then we'd be eligible for punishments; a fine or points loss.

If we get him registered, then sure, Pulis can pick who he wants.

We have to beg the ELF for a favour in order to register him tho, or wait till January.

I think the ref can countersign the  signing on form in the changing room. We just need to think of a name to play him under
