As noted... JFH also had abuse.  Its not my cup of tea... I hate twitter.... But let's not pretend it's just women who get it... Ridiculous notion.

I note Chansiri said his young son had been abused.

This is a big story because its a female pundit.

Did anybody tell JFH to “get back in the kitchen” or similar misogynistic sexist crap?

Why do you think people arent answering then?

Dunno, maybe some are at work in places where they can’t take personal calls, maybe some are on landlines without caller id(believe me there are still some people like this), maybe some are driving, there are lots of possibilities. Just pointing out it’s not some random number or a withheld number that’s calling it’s a number associated to and published by the club.

Maybe if the club called from a Sheffield phone number instead of one used by those ambulance chasers claiming you have had a car accident you know nowt about, them maybe the fans would answer the call

The number that called me is the ticket office number as listed on the website, plus if you haven’t had cause to use the number before it ends in 1867 so there is a little clue as to who it could be?

    Absolutely different

As if the club ever went into admin a new owner would buy club and assets from admin

Probably so, but technically nothing to stop the administrator deciding the best outcome for creditors (which I believe is their primary responsibility) selling the assets separately from the club.

Like I said above lots of clubs these days have the stadium held in a separate stadium management company with loans(either construction costs or in our neighbours case purchase costs) secured against them.

Yes. I see your point. It was my sloppy use of ‘We’ in the original answer.

I think it’s a bad thing that the stadium and club are separated. Do you not think that?

Whilst the stadium & club are under the same ownership, just like lots of clubs in the modern era (our neighbours across the city, rotherham, Tottenham, arsenal & Brighton to name a few off the top of my head) then I don’t see it as a major issue personally. If it ends up in totally different ownership then that is more of a worry, but even if it was still owned by the club directly there was nothing to stop the 100% owner selling it to a third party at any point anyway.

We are, I understand, leveraging debt on the stadium.

Chansiri can leverage debt against the stadium. Then if he gets into financial difficulties the party with first title on the stadium will control that asset.
The club and the stadium are then under separate control.

I get that but it seems like you were suggesting the club were leveraging debt against the stadium.

Before he separated the stadium, he could still have secured debt against the stadium and ended up in the same situation. Just like back in the day when the coop had debt secured against the stadium and just like everybody’s bestie Milan Manderic had debt secured against the stadium, except in those cases it was the clubs debt not the owners.

    Yes. That’s my worry.
Sheffield Wednesday FC and Hillsborough Stadium and now two entities.

We are, I understand, leveraging debt on the stadium.

If DC gets into financial trouble and has to sell us or we go into administration then that leveraged debt can be called in and the Mortgage on the ground means the lender will have first title so can do what they want with the stadium.

You then can’t realistically get a buyer for the club. Neither the stadium nor the club are going concerns without the other yet they could be in different hands. Potential for a big mess. Anyway, it’s 2021 now so the New Year  me is convinced none of that will happen.

How can we leverage debt against something we don’t own?

If SWFC were to go into admin (I don’t see how this benefits our only creditor so doubt it happening anytime soon) the Sheffield 3 would still own the stadium & and the administrator would still be pursuing them for the scheduled payments.
