Wonder which player is on 68 grand a week?
It says 'southern club' so I'd guess at a Fulham player, seeing as they have parachute payments...Mitrovic or Knockeart?

Average salary of the highest earners (Players only).

I was sat in the North and I think it's the best I've ever seen the Kop. Awesome day.

We really could have done with those hedges being there at 3:13pm on 16 April 1983.
Why, what happened then?

4-0 to be precise if you're mentioning the Brighton game away Tues Night 1990.
Nah. Saturday 22nd October 1984 (1 week after the Portsmouth game). Just checked it was 3-1 not 3-0.

Yep I was on that one as well.
At the time the away end was open and if I remember right the police took us round to stand on the home end as it was covered? At the time there was a rumour that the Portsmouth fans were waiting outside for us so hence why they kept us in. The 6.57 crew were still a thing back then.
Don't know if anyone can remember if we did get taken onto their end or if my memories playing tricks?
Others have answered that we did but I remember standing in the rain for quite a while after the game. When they finally moved us to the other end of the ground, we went past the players entrance just as the players were coming out to get on their coach. I don't think I've ever been that wet for that length of time. I' sure I was still wet when we got back to Sheffield.

I only missed one away game that season (Darlington away in the League Cup).
Without a doubt the best season I’ve had following Wednesday. Some of the away followings were immense. Got some great memories of that season.
I went to Brighton too but not on the train. Our coach broke down on the way back...somewhere between Brighton and London. Another coach (eventually) picked us up but brought us into the centre of London for transfer to yet another coach. Another late (3am?) return to Sheffield but at least we won that one as well (3-0 I think).

I wonder when the English language was revised to show to-day as today.

Some people don't believe that Sheridan used to get booed by our own fans
They're convinced it never happened
I remember it like it was yesterdayMe too but, as far as I can remember, it was only the one time.

This is how I remember the kop looking from mid/late 70's until they put the roof on. There's not really a defined area, just an extension of the kop - with a big drop from the top half (possibly explaining 'crows nest').
However, the North/West Corner is pretty much the same shape as it was back then. We called it the triangle...and I still do. Some people call it the cheese wedge, meh. How those names ever got to be used at the North/East corner is beyond me.

To be fair, it was the only way he was likely to get on any kind of score sheet this year.

I remember him playing against us for Man Utd in 1974. Broke his leg.

Here you go enjoy the memories
Love the commentary..." Sheffield Wednesday score from a set piece...that they've rehearsed countless times this season...and practice has made perfect."
The throw in from Sterland was touched by 3 Newcastle players before Megson headed it over to Shelton. Tactical genius from Wilkinson to involve the Newcastle players in our set piece rehearsals.
