  3. I am making a prediction over the next two seasons, we will next season finish top of the division and win it by 10 points the following season we will finish in the championship play off positions.

  4. Hope not. Last seasons foreign signings in Kamberi and Sow where a waste of space and then there was JVA, awful record when bringing in players from overseas.

  5. You’ve come into a positive thread about a promising young striker of ours potentially signing a long term deal, and tried to throw hate at Moore. bore off, daft sod.

  7. Lewis Buxton. Had a torrid first season if I remember right, turned into a solid fullback and one of the first names on the team sheet.

  11. Not a signing as such but Mel Sterland got off to a bad start. The rest is history as they say

  12. Lee Chapman. Very good target man, very efficient at what he was asked to do as part of Wilko’s machine. I feel he gets overlooked when old players are mentioned.

  16. Viv Anderson. He was abysmal on his debut at Boothferry Park (Hull's former ground for you youngsters!) playing at right back, he looked like he'd never played in that position before which was remarkable as he'd played there at the highest level for many years. Then he was switched to CB and he was great.

  17. How does anyone know that Paxo hasn't had a hand in signing the British players we’ve brought in since he’s been involved with the club?

  18. Don’t want to hijack this into a GH thread but this ^^^ is what people forget or ignore when they say ‘we wouldn’t be talking about GH if it wasn’t for his dad’. Nonsense. Hirst Jnr had the best pedigree of any player our academy has produced in a generation. That’s why we’re still talking about the fact we lost him for nothing. Ironically I think Hirst would be ideal for us now and we’d be ideal for him. Here’s hoping Moore can relay the spirit of Christian forgiveness to get all parties to do the right thing and renew the relationship. As for Cadamarteri he looks pretty well physically developed for his age, obviously knows where the goal is and will get great advice from his father as both a youth coach and a player who himself achieved fame at a young age. Hopefully the club has learned some lessons about how best to handle the situation

  19. Yorkshire live reports ,Chansairi has said we might have to look at players from abroad for our promotion challenge .Can you remember that central defender we looked at hundreds before we paid 4 million euros for ,Was confident of promotion this coming season befrore i heard that statement from DC .He never never ever learns .

  21. Pixao is an Advisor DC is a business man. When advisor gives business man advice and business performs poorly then normally get rid of the people giving you advice. Business man however continues to listen to the advisor, this make business man a fool, not a wise man!

  22. Can I just point out that when the new signings come in from this summers SPENDAGEDDON I will welcome them with the same over the top giddy hyped up enthusiasm as I always do. I'll proclaim it as 'very exciting' and 'thrilling signings' and get all excited for the new season! Then after the first missed pass and our fans booing them and saying they're rubbish I will be influenced into believing it and will jump on the hate festival bandwagon towards them all Then after a few months when they've settled in and got used to being here and crack on and show what they can do I'll post how good they are and how the haters should shut up and get behind the players in their first few months instead of rushing to write them all off Then at the end of their time at Wednesday I'll want them gone and new players in so the same cycle can repeat. Am I alone in this?

  23. I wish Jeff Johnson was playing for us now ,The reason i liked the player so much was at the time we were screaming out for a midfield hard man .First time i saw him said to mates at last .Loved the player .

  24. Was a lot better last summer. Johnson, Gregory, NML, Adeniran and the loans of Storey and Peacock-Farrell were all good signings from this country. The year Paxo was less involved we did our best recruiting in a long time. I really hope he doesn't get involved again

  25. Trevor Francis. Dread to think how good he was in his pomp.

  26. Isn't he 17 now? could be worth at least a game or two in the cup matches this year if not in the first team if he does well..

  27. Agree on Woods. His legacy will always be the cup final and a couple of bad errors against the pigs but in the main he was superb. Also Graham Hyde, terrific little player. Surprised me his career never amounted to much And Viv Anderson. When people dismiss the idea of signing 30+ yo players based on their age I usually think of Viv… must’ve been 32/33 when we signed him and what a job he did for us.

  28. Mark Bright - always in Hirst's shadow, yet always scored plenty of goals in the top division and rarely missed a game through injury.

  33. Who’s actually seen enough of him to even judge if he’s ready or not ? Let’s leave it to the gaffer eh, suspect he might just have more of a clue Who’s to say he doesn’t sign a deal, have a cracking pre season and really be in contention for game time ? I’m not saying a loan wouldn’t be useful but let’s have a good look ourselves pre season first

  34. That sign was a thing of beauty. So wish we'd still got it. Would have stood the test of time.

  35. Far too young to go out on loan. Should spend next season here playing u-23 football, getting on first team's bench every now and then when appropriate and starting in pizza cup.

  36. I'll kick us off with Morgan Fox. Not that he ever set the world alight or anything, but he did generally win the crowd over eventually.

  37. I think AP will get the blame for anything. Wasn’t he also part of the revised set up when we ditched the transfer committee and brought in Pudil, Bannan and Forestieri? That may not have had anything to do with him either but we can’t assume each bad transfer is his recommendation. Our issue has always been finance and a lack of financial planning. We built a good side but short term and have been hampered ever since due to not being able to buy and sell. If we have a better grip on that then having more contacts alongside analysts etc can only be a good thing?

  39. Dropped clangers in high profile games, other than that one of the better keepers we've had. Agree, when we first got him, I was disappointed that we had signed an aging player looking for a final payout. For me one of the best players to pull on a Wednesday shirt, magnificent.

  40. Lawrie Madden one of the best man marker ( do a job on someone) I’ve seen in a Wednesday shirt

  41. Jermaine Johnson Some call him thick or lazy - made games worth watching and always put teams on the back foot. Scored some awesome and important goals for us.

  42. People seem to say that and then spend all year bashing players like Paterson, Palmer and Dunkley who give 100%.
