  1. I doubt he'll be here... If we get an offer he'll be off.

  2. It's been a good week for the club. 1. Moore back, healthy and working hard preparing for next season 2. Appointed a COO 3. Nailed the retained list Yes, we can debate the ins and outs of each point (and have done) but for a club run so incompetently, baby steps are required. I don't hold back in my criticism of Chansiri and find it hard to trust him, but to be fair and giving the benefit of doubt, pretty happy with the club this week.

  3. That released list makes great reading but I feel that Tom Lees has had some death by association here, I'm sad to see him go. He's not been at his finest recently but over the course of 5 years or so he's been a very good player for us, has given his all, always acted professionally and generally represnted the club very well. Good luck Tom, you'll always be welcome at Hillsborough.

  4. I recommend everyone to join the SWFC Supporters Trust...... However, the new email received from them regarding Brian Laws and Chris Turner's sensible offer to help advise chansiri leaves a lot to be desired. It also goes some way to understanding the clubs ( chansiri ) approach to fans and trusts. Quite frankly cringe worthy in it's approach to kissing chansiri's backside and treating him with kid gloves. not only that, but also sarcastically reminds members that they may put any possible talks with chansiri and the club at jeopardy if they mention anything on social media, yet in the same breath say that they are happy for fans to do that. It doesn't work. The blokes had his backside kissed all his life. Time to stop pandering to him and tell him some home truths. I'll quote one small portion, because.... it's a tenner.. help the trust. Join. But this, i do not agree with. We are just going round in circles all the time. Kissing his arse doesn't work. Doing that, make's him think he's right. He's not. He's useless. " However, anyone who has read previous engagement panel minutes will note Mr Chansiri is deeply sensitive to anything placed on social media. Indeed, a significant source of recent friction between Trust and Club has arisen because a member update was posted on social media by a member " " Deeply Sensitive " Poor lamb !!! So are the people you haven't refunded !!!!!!! In other words, chansiri still doesn't like to be told the truth... as we knew. UTO _ CHANSIRI AND PAXO OUT !!!

  5. Gave me more confidence than any other Wednesday keeper I can remember, and that includes Pressman. His omission at various stages of the last few seasons had played a big part in our demise. Hope he goes on to finish his career with a successful season or two. Also, I will really miss his hair.

  6. That's peanuts compared to the £200k a week Dave Jones was earning at Hillsbro.

  7. Windass apparently wants to stay .If we can keep him then his pace would destroy League 1 defenders . His conversion rate/goal chances is average at best ,however he would have so many opportunities ,especially if Bannan is supplying the passes. Should be 20 plus goal season

  10. I support Wednesday......... when I go out at weekends to meet friends of many years, to home & away matches, it always has & always will involve Wednesday.........That’s where I’ll be channeling my funds and I’m looking forward to next season as much as any other..... Just different challenges to face!

  12. If "all the way back" you mean I clicked on your profile, clicked the lil right arrow that takes you back to "page 3" of your short posting history, scrolled down until I saw a post that claimed we had £8m to spend in January... then yes. Please don't assume I spent any more than about 28 seconds finding that post. I'll let everyone else decide as to how valid the claim Reach was earning £55k p/w is from the bloke that claimed we had £8m to spend in January

  13. Also reggae: We will have £8m to spend in January including wages As if you said that with a straight face you lil bu11shit merchant you.

  16. I wonder if this thread gets as much traction as the ‘we demand answers’, ‘silence is deafening’ threads. Maybe as fans we just prefer to look for problems rather than cherish the small wins.

  17. I said opposite fella. My info is correct. It always is. I don't want likes on here or whatever the such is. I'm an owl. Always will be. And what is said on here by me is what is good for the the club and fans. I liked Adam reach as a player. When I learned about his wages. He is a twaaat. Simples

  19. Pressman was a better keeper than Westwood. He also spent plenty of time being number 2 waiting to get his chance, rather than being obsessed with his own self importance. Kieran Westwood was a top championship goalkeeper a few seasons ago, but I've always found the fauning over him slightly nauseating... It says far more about the state of our club in the last 20 years than it does about his abilities IMHO.

  20. Yes you can all search the wages on Google. But with performances and other add ons. That is how much money this guy was on. It's ridiculous. Bye Adam. Dont come back to Sheffield Adam.

  21. With bonuses Adam Reach is on 55k a week. only he didn’t get any bonuses because he’s rhubarb. simples.

  24. He did next to nothing. Finally rid of him, and he's hardly out the door and the revisionist history is already popping up. As for not getting a fair crack, with appropriate respect, complete nonsense: At ~5500 minutes, Rhodes has played a full 16% of his entire professional career at Wednesday. It's a third of the time he spent at Blackburn, and half of his time at Huddersfield. Under contract for five years, with like seven different managers, none of whom had any use for Rhodes once they had time to have a good look at him. Even on loan at Norwhich, he played in 36 games - and for the first 15 games he started and played nearly the full 90 minutes for 8 of them, until even Norwich decided they'd seen enough after 4 goals in 15 appearances, and punted him from the starting line up. 120 appearances. 20 goals to show for it. "Didn't get a fair crack", my ass. Rhodes was an absolute waste of everyone's time, waste of a lineup spot, and a waste of an absolute pile of money.

  25. So important we bring in a new number one now. Wildsmith and Dawson are shocking and need to leave also. Been a very good player over the years has Westwood. Wish him all the best.

  27. Has anyone got new idea for new song? I take one from Slovakia where I from before arrive in Kent (to tune of "We are climbing Jacob's Ladder") "We are Sheffield, Sheffield's ladder - ladder People thought (thought) we could do no badder - badder When we - when we dropped down run on ladder ladder ... (Rise voice) - We are climbing climbing" Sheffield Ladder Ladder - greatest Team of THEM ALL.

  29. It's true trust needs to be earned and perhaps easier to criticise. Lots of work to be done, but I'd rather see the club on a road to redemption, rather than destruction.

  30. Why don’t players who are ridiculously wealthy pay their own agents fees, not the clubs..? Or get rid of agents full stop, would be a way forward.

  43. I’ll pass on any individual or organisation suggesting that we take advice from Chris Turner on how to run a football club. How do they expect to have an ounce of credibility with suggestions like that

  44. Transfer fees are never an issue as the money circulates within the game and can be a big help for the smaller clubs. The issue is money that goes out of the game, not only wages but agents fees etc, that’s what needs looking at
    6 points
  45. Completely agree that transfer fees and wages need cutting. Not sure how they are going to implement this though. A start would be to limit the squad sizes that the top flight clubs are allowed. This will stop them signing players that are never going to get near the first team but still cost more in transfer fees and wages that lower league clubs can afford. There are too many players loaned to Championship clubs and below that inflate the market costs, the likes of Izzy Brown.

  46. Completely agree. Top player over his whole Owls career, including 2 or 3 record breaking, clean sheet seasons. Gave his best, represented the Owls with distinction and stands out as a top, top Wednesday player. Really sorry he had to bow out in the way he did and I wish him all the very best for the future.
