  1. We could have had a reyt laugh this season just by staying up after the points deduction. It’s not like we haven’t had the opportunities but we’ve failed time after time after time in big moments purely and simply because of lack of bottle and leadership. You can rant all you want about the chairman and the state of the club, various managers etc but what happens on the pitch is really what counts and this spineless bunch should hang their heads in shame. We had a list of the mad stuff that the chairman has done. You could easily make a similar list of stupid and pathetic stuff this team have done, out there, on the pitch over this season. Failure to fight back in any game even to achieve a draw, losing from winning positions, stupid sending offs, missed chances, crumbling late on in games, the list is endless. This club lacks leadership on and off the pitch and looks to have denied us, and this city, what could have been a good season of fierce rivalry in the same division next season. Pathetic.

  2. Watching the latest video of the lads all laughing and joking out on the training pitches at Middlewood. Love the banter, ooooooh look, someone turned up late.... Love to see such positivity in the group. #wegoagain #FUCKRIGHTOFFYOUSPINELESSWANKERS

  3. I can’t ever remember thinking, “Well, that justfucking sums us up!” as many times in a negative way over one season during my 40 years of watching Wednesday. I’ve seen worse teams, far worse players, much worse football but I can’t ever remember a bigger bunch of such thick, spineless belltips.

  4. No. The beginning of the end was when Forestieri missed his penalty against Huddersfield 4 years ago in the Play Off semi finals. At that point Chancer’s big gamble had failed and what he was really about started to unravel. Been a slow painful death since - and I don’t think relegation is even the worst of it with this bloke running the club.

  5. Aside from the diasasters off the pitch I don't think I've witnessed as much ineptness on the pitch in one season. We wazz away any decent chances in most games to gain any advantage or foothold and we do it in increasingly idiot and creative ways. This team on the pitch for the last 18 months or so has got to be one of the dumbest, idiotic, loser cultures ever created at the club. Again, it was allowed to grow like mould in a petri dish due to the lack of leadership structure and planning in all areas of the club off thr field. Overall it's been a nightmare and we haven't had chance to really have the last laugh at the Pigs on the way.

  6. I've heard from a source close to the club, that Sheffield Wednesday is not one of the five English teams who agreed to join a European Super League (which would undermine competitive football). Well done DC! Uefa furious at 11 major clubs signing up to breakaway plans

  8. At the end of this season I want as many players as possible to leave. Those that go will never be forgiven by me for the pathetic displays over the last season and a half. Every time I see their names mentioned I will sneer at them and curse their very existence. Those that stay have a chance to redeem themselves and I will support them 100%, hopefully from the stands with my son. I will cheer their achievements and quietly mutter about their mistakes as per. I'll speak my mind on here but won't abuse. I won't go on twitter and call them names or vilify the club. Not my style that really. Achieves nowt. As for the owner and his management team. I have no words to say that I haven't already typed. I want him to change, learn grow and improve the club. I want him to have success with us. I want him to make money from us being successful. I doubt he will because he seems blind to the problems we face. I fear that his intransigence will rob us all of our club one day and I'll do anything I can to stop that. Until then I'll support the team on the pitch cos thats all we can do, and it's what I enjoy.

  9. The players have been proven to be mentally weak. The stats on never coming back after going behind are frightening. Losing late goals regularly particularly against 10 men twice is unforgivable. Producing one top class performance every six months is an embarrassment. Whatever the issues at the Club, there is no excuse for the way we have caved in especially to bottom half clubs like Rotherham, Birmingham, Luton away, the list is endless. These players really should hang their collective heads in shame. Overpaid mercenaries. In any other walk of life they would have been cleared out long ago. Yet they get rich on failure. Somehow, we have to find a way to link income for players to success.

  10. It is absolutely disgraceful. How much money do they want. It’s a league full of foreign players, foreign owners, foreign coaches. The game has sold its soul. Let them go. But make it clear that they are done with English football. Players, clubs etc. the whole lot. And let’s see what the fans of those clubs think. Football stinks.

  12. Giving Carlos the 3rd season and not selling 'the stars' that summer was the start We needed to freshen things up and could have done so, making millions from player sales Unfortunately we gave Carlos another half of a season and kept the failing players on and rewarding them with silly wages that no other club would pay. It's still laughable that we are still relying on some of the same players now and some fans want to give them new contracts to get us out of the mess they've put us in

  13. Smith,s comment, it affected us them going down to 10 men. WTF, can't imagine any other manager in the EFL using the excuse that they've had an extra man for well over an hour as part of the reason for another abject failure. Unbelievable!

  14. that's a ridiculous post. It's not the fans fault we're in this position. Of course if it was a one club city there would be more chance of being successful but that's not what it's about.

  15. Chansiri do yourself but most importantly do the fans a favour - just f@@k off and take the useless bunch of inept so called advisers and useless players with you. Never understood how such a complete bunch of cretins have been allowed to take over such a historic club and basically drive it into the dust. If you don’t understand anything about football you should never be allowed near a club.

  16. I’m undoubtedly going to be ridiculed and abused mercilessly for saying this, but I would give Pelupessy a one year deal Think we brings some attributes that we’re going to need next season ( I’ll get my coat now ......)

  20. I can guarantee whose fault it wont be. His. When possible, we as a fanbase need to ensure that DC owns this huge failure and make sure that he is reminded about it at every opportunity with chants, banners, media grabbing protests etc. The sooner he is metaphorically chased out of town the better as far as I am concerned.

  21. The writing was on the wall when we started the season with Monk still in charge. Defies any logic that he was still manager of this football club after some of the defeats we witnessed, honourable mentions to Blackburn and Brentford 5-0 hammerings. He was then allowed to shape this new ‘young and dynamic side’. That cost us and we never recovered.

  22. People talk about the Luton game a lot, either as being one of the last chances or the point it felt like the final nail. That was 11 games ago over 2 months. A team that loses that many “must win” games or missed chances over that amount of time deserves absolutely nothing. Forget the Derby game. At this point I just hope the relegation is by more than 6 points so that clown has one less thing to blame during his meandering, aimless media debrief rant.

  23. Sheffield’s not big enough or passionate enough a football city to carry two clubs. It’s been blatantly obvious for years. If the city had one club like Leeds, Leicester or Newcastle it would’ve been far more successful.

  24. This current team is in 8th position in the division for taking the lead in matches and in 1st position for losing from a leading position. This team has failed to take ONE SINGLE POINT when going behind in a game across the whole season so far. Pathetic. #wegoagain

  27. Don't think much more he could've done. Switched it around 70 mins when was needed. Red card was kid up top and only about 10 mins left. Then Rio shut shop even more. Did you watch game Or were you just trying to troll and split fanbase again?

  28. We all know it's coming, the man can't help himself. Nothing is ever his fault. So who will get the blame for our relegation? The "customers"? The EFL? Tony Pulis? The players?

  31. Never agreed with this - obviously if we had one team we would have an extremely large fan base. But the fact we were 1 game away from the prem and the blunts have just spent 2 seasons there shows we do. We also both have very respectable fan bases in the grand scheme of things. Bad management and very bad signings have caused our current problems and poor signings by the blunts have caused theres. Clubs you mentioned such as Leicester and Leeds who only have 1 team have spent many years in the lower leagues.

  32. This is the destination to which football was headed since the advent of the PL It has followed the money at the cost of integrity every step of the way As somebody who has been on the inside - well, it's just insane and immoral They have followed a disaster capitalist route and so many that have engendered that are now crying about it Well f*ck right off you c*nts - you never cared about the game - you cared about personal enrichment and f*ck everything else - that stands true for clubs and players - and lets be honest here - fans too Players are leeching off the game - but only because the clubs let them - agents are leeching off the game but only because clubs let them There never was this "collective spirit" - or the so-called "football village" where everybody had each others backs Soem clubs have gone to the wall to what amouints to a couple of weeks wages for a premier league player Best thing ever if a few clubs defect from our league and the money that will follow Football needs a reset - it's an absolute must It's a fantasy world where clubs are living so far beyond their means they're like Imelda Marcos on uppers It'll be the best thing to happen to our game since the abolition of the backpass rule and introduction of 3 points for a win It could even save the game as we know it

  36. There are many people to blame for this and they are all customers who didn't turn up at the gate to pay extortionate prices for a substandard product. I hear you say that they couldn't attend because of covid and Government regulations, that's a poor excuse, the team turned up so why didn't the customers. If they really loved the club they would find a way. They would sneak over the walls, they would dig tunnels under the walls (obviously remembering to pay the full entrance fee once onside the ground). How can highly paid professional foofballers be expected to play well without customers cheering them on. It's the customers duty to turn up whatever the circumstances (and pay in full of course) and cheer the team on. Then we have the season ticket debacle. The customers wanted their money back when the club couldn't supply them with the product the had purchased, how outrageous is that? They shouldn't have done that, infact they should have donated the rest of their furlough money to the club so we could ensure the players got paid in full each week. After all you can't expect players who are very highly paid to wait for their money, they might not be able to buy their wives a new Range Rover this week. That is disasterous to team moral and is a direct result of the unreasonable and thoughtless actions of the customers. Which ever way you look at it this relegation is without a shadow of a doubt the sole responsibility of the feckless customers of this club. They should hang their heads in shame and send letters of apology to the club. Season tickets are now on sale for next season. The club are proud to announce that we have managed to hold the price increase to 100% over last years prices. In the circumstances we forgive any customers buying season tickets at the full price for their past transgressions provided the are suitably gratefull and buy a team shirt as a sign of remorse.

  37. I would honestly remove this thread. I am not a gambler myself but read the thread in the non swfc football bit on here re problem gambling earlier this week, including one poster who has posted on this thread who is a recovering gambling addict. the reality is ( hence why the ceo of 365 pays herself half a billion pounds a year ) that most bets lose, and only showcasing the big wins like this just suck people in to doing it.

  38. That’s utter nonsense and let’s DC off the hook. How has a Chairman who left 20 years ago stopped DC putting in place a management model for the 21st century? Or investing in the academy? Or attracting local sponsors to buy boxes? Don’t let this car crash of an owner off the hook.
