  1. Start off by saying I'm a poor man who's never won the lottery or accumulators (very rarely) but I've gone game by game for the bottom 6 what I think will hopefully happen, so based on that here are my final postions 19th Wednesday 52 pts 20th Birmingham 50 21st Coventry 49 Relegated 22nd Derby C. 49 on goal diff 23rd Rotherham 45 24th Wycombe W 38 I do stress in my opinion for all its worth

  2. Thought he was superb yesterday. Playing off the shoulder, direct and a great option to have on the counter attack. Decision making at times can let him down but overall a very strong performance. Well done Josh!

  3. The mad thing is that the EFL are refusing to confirm or comment as it never comments on which clubs it puts under embargo (which is a total nonsense), and the clubs involved are refusing to comment too So you have 10 clubs under a secret embargo and nobody is saying anything Crackers

  5. Darren Moore has 100% had a word with him about not being too greedy. I thought he was super yesterday. He and Rhodes work well together.... although that was clear early in the season before Monk unfathomably split them up again.

  6. He was on loan at Norwich when Agnew and Bruce were here so you can’t include those in the list but he’s been criminally underused by the others. Pulis and Monk treatment of Rhodes this season was a disgrace

  9. I'm not saying it was obvious, but it was obvious. This club has failed to tell us in the past that we were under an embargo, it's no surprise we weren't informed again. The only difference is the signs are now easy to spot. It all comes back to one man and his fizzed up running of the club. Step forward, Mr Chansiri.

  11. Some of the initial bed wetting from some on here was totally uncalled for. The problems at this club are not solved overnight. tonight you’ve seen a glimpse into the Moore era - it will not be perfect every week and sometimes the tactic may backfire but at least there is a clear blue print for this football club as opposed to falling from the one perch to the other. I’d much rather see a side showing it knows what it wants to do as opposed to some of the mind numbing crap I’ve seen over the last 18 months. that was the most comprehensive performance I’ve seen from Wedn

  14. You could tell there were tactics. I made a thread on here months and months ago about how we looked aimless at throw ins and not knowing what to do, and how things like that were important. Look at our third goal. The movement and associated passing from the through was clearly rehearsed to allow an player to break inside with the ball and deliver a switch. Good work on training ground. Then when Palmer gets the ball, there's rehearsed movement from Patterson and Rhodes in the box. Palmer doesn't have to look up because the coaching has probably been "deliver one of th

  15. I'm concerned there are people that think we are down with 21 points to play for. We are staying up. Not opinion, 100% verifiable fact.

  16. His personal goal tally is important, but we look such a better team with him playing. As indeed we did in the few early season starts he was given. None of the other players used up top could play the striker role. If we go down the biggest single reason is Rhodes sitting on the bench while other non-strikers toiled and failed. Dreadful management.

  17. I know it’s too late, as he will probably be leaving at the end of the season, but Rhodes goals return per minute is excellent this season, in a poor team. 164 minutes per goal - at that rate he’d be on 21 goals by now if playing every minute. let’s hope this season carries on for the rest of the season.

  19. Been a critic of Rhodes over the years. Didnt want us to sign him as i didnt think he would suit our style and we had also just signed Winnal who was a similar player. Came in and didnt make much of a impact, was against making it a permeant transfer. He never has fit into our style of play so never done anything but also seemed to have lost a yard of pace. of However, Bullen, Jos, Agnew, Bruce, Monk, Thompson all didnt play him or try to play to the strengths that made him the goalscorer he was. Moore and team have, and it is no surprise that he i

  21. ‘In the January window, with a couple of exceptions, it was mainly loans. While top players may move, Championship clubs will do well to get decent money for the players they’re already looking at selling.’ so yet again, those that are struggling and trying to balance the books get ripped off further...Whilst the Premiership failures drop down with extortionate amounts of money.. The game isfucked

  23. Chuffed for him tonight as there were obvious signs of improvement but I think there had been signs of improvement before tonight TBH even though it wasn’t that obvious in the results. I think he’s found his strongest outfield line-up by and large in the last three games though Pelupessy or Hutchinson could easily be a part of it? He obviously feels having Rhodes, Windass and Paterson on the pitch at the same time is a game changer. I’ve said before he’s the right man for this job. Hopefully we can have a strong finish to the season to show the majority of f

  24. Looks like we actually... finally...eventually..are starting to play with a game plan, an identity. Playing out from the back is of course dangerous, but it has huge benefits too. I've always said id rather watch us try to play attacking football and stick to it. Even if it takes a while to see the results. Hopefully Moore can be the manager to get us playing good football.

  25. Actually showing some really positive signs he is turning us round. Weve had some tough games in the last 5, norwich, watford, barnsley and today and maybe desrved more points than we actually got. If hes got the current lot (who have been dire all season) to start to play like a team, then the future is actually looking a lot brighter. I was having a look at the 3rd division before todays game and despite many on here saying we will struggle, there is nothing there for us to be worried about at all. The early signs are that we will be ok next season in my opinion

  27. The game against Stoke at home this season was the worst. Pulis brought him on half time, had the ball punted up to him for 40 minutes with no support and then hauled him off on 85 minutes even though it was still 0-0. I hated watching us under Pulis

  28. Why the hell can't the EFL come out and at least tell the fans ( through the media ) what this is all about, seriously they are a total joke and are now becoming the reason why clubs ARE getting into difficulties with their heavy approach. Let's also remember there are 10 clubs on that list, so nearly half the division !

  30. Reading the article it’s clear this is to do with administrative issues and nothing to do with FFP All of the clubs haven’t filed accounts in time so placed under embargo Companies House issued an extension which clubs took advantage of. EFL haven’t followed suit and slapped embargo’s on clubs who are late with accounts Another example of the EFL not having the faintest idea what it’s doing

  33. That people have started to believe. It's too far. It's too much to do. Coventry and Birmingham WILL pick up points. I just worry about the effect it will have if people get their hopes up and then they are dashed as usual by Wednesday. Assume we're down and then if by some miracle we stay up it'll be a pleasant surprise.

  35. Yep it really is too little to late. Absolutely scandalous to lose against Luton, Birmingham, Rotherham, Wycombe, Coventry this season. We can’t lose to all the teams around us and expect to stay up. Really poor from the club to not pick up at least 6 more points from those fixtures. Pathetic when you think about it. Deserve to go down.

  36. He was a vanity purchase made by a club who had ideas above its station. We had a plethora of strikers at the time and there was no need to bring in Jordan when we did. We then persisted in not playing to his strengths and seemed to almost refuse accepting him for the player he was/is. He's a goalscorer, who comes alive in the 18 yard box. Don't expect the intricate hold up play of say a Hooper, the attacking spark of a Nando or the hustle and bustle of a Fletcher. That's not his game, but he was arguably the best finisher out of all of them. Finally, we

  44. Coventry statement Coventry City can confirm that it has been placed under a transfer embargo by the EFL. The Government, due to the Coronavirus crisis, allowed companies to extend the deadline to file company accounts by three months and Coventry City chose to take up this option. Unfortunately the EFL has decided not to replicate this extension within their own rules, which surprises us as they have amended a number of other rules due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Coventry City will be filing their accounts as required by Companies House within three months of th
