  1. 35 years ago we had one of the best stadiums in the country. Probably not even in the top 20 now.

  4. Birmingham and Luton were massive games - we blew it. Rotherham is our last opportunity for me lose that and no way will we stay up, get a win and it offers a faint ray of hope .

  6. Hope he’s allowed to go back to his old role, and isn’t thrown to one side after todays appointment. Stepped up to try and fill a gap when asked, and despite the recent run of form, most certainly helped with picking up some wins prior. Thanks for the efforts along the way, all the best!

  7. The pressure is on the chairman now to change the culture at the club to one that players with a future want to stay at Anyone blaming agents here is misguided

  11. Dave the Scouser is touring America on holiday and stops in a remote bar in the hills of Nevada. He's chatting to the barman when he spies an old Indian sitting in a corner-complete with full tribal gear, long plaits and wrinkles. "Who's he?" asks Dave. "That's the Memory Man," says the barman. "He knows everything. He can remember any fact. Go and try him out." So Dave wanders over and asks: "Who won the 1965 FA Cup Final?" "Liverpool," replies the Memory Man. The tourist is amazed. "Who did they beat?" "Leeds," comes the reply. "And the score?" "2-1." D

  15. Absolutely no chance Hillsborough would make the cut this time. Zero, none, zilch. The world has moved on, while we're a relic. Wouldn't it have been nice if we had an owner for the first time in two/three decades that would have fixed that as opposed to just throwing money at what's on the pitch?

  16. So Chansiri was just biding his time waiting for a manager who was on as bad a run of form as Wednesday.

  18. Hillsborough is ready now. No other stadium looks as good as Hillsborough when its full. North stand is a thing of beauty, South stand is classic, the Kop iconic. West stand needs a little bit of work. Bring it on

  19. Really sad news. Use to love Saint and Greavsie. The days when football was fun and not all about money. RIP.

  21. Since Darren Moore has been appointed, I’ve been curious to see if someone would post about his style or players that fit the way he plays in comparison to the Owls. As an absolute novice in this area, I have no idea how to even identify a player that would fit scheme X vs scheme Y. I loved the discussion about the formation, the 42321 style and how that could look for the reminder of the fight to avoid relegation. But I wonder how he’ll put his fingerprints on the club beyond the 20/21 season (assuming his contract is longer in term). I went back and did a quick look at his transfer histo

  24. This is why our continued investment in top quality 30 somethings who can't quite cut in the Premier League but who can demand top end wages while they see out their remaining years in our sickbay on full pay has dried up. So stop being tight and get your hand in your pocket. The next Almen Abdi is out there somewhere awaiting our call!

  26. Not so. Hillsborough was chosen over Bramall Lane for Euro ‘96 and the last World Cup bid. The reason Hillsborough was chosen for the last World Cup bid related to the fact that there is plenty of space for a fan park and camp site in Hillsborough Park. Link this with the fact that Hillsborough Park successfully accommodates Tramlines on a yearly basis (thus can demonstrate it can host large crowds), Hillsborough Corner is nearby, and that there is an actual tramline almost next to the ground that can take you to the heart of the city, Kelham Island, West Street/Division Street, the Universiti

  31. No chance of staying up The defeats to Birmingham and Luton sealed any last chance we had If we stay up then Moore should have a job for life, dealing with DC and these godawful players is a impossible job imo
