  1. Harris on the right putting early crosses in Reach on the left putting early crosses in Paterson and Rhodes up front Hutchinson centre half It's getting to the point where anything other than these players in these positions is negligence, incompetence or deliberate sabotage

  2. I'm sorry but I'm not sure what the hell he is watching. The manager, players and owner have to start being honest with themselves rather than proffering deluded platitudes trying to spin the dire situation as the opposite of what it is. I know what I have watched the last five games. I've seen a Wednesday side capitulate against sides low on confidence and on a bad run who were there for the taking as was obvious to all watching. We didn't show heart, we didn't show fight, in fact we didn't show anything. If we did Reach would have risked hurting hims

  3. Exactly what it says on the tin- Carlos or Big Ron

  4. Yes, I'm sure that a manager who won 2 home games in a year, failed to manage a single point or goal from successive games against Luton, Rotherham and Wycombe, and persisted in playing Dawson whilst ignoring Westwood would have had us flying by now.

  5. Definitely a turning point. Can honestly believe we won't lose another game all season. A chat would turn any poo player into a world beater. I've had a chat with the missus this morning, told her a few home truths. Fully expecting Cindy Crawford circa 1990 when I return home later.

  6. Oh look - yet another club being bought/taken over at a time some fearmongering fans will run around shouting 'but who would want a buy a football club right now???' etc etc

  7. Big Ron is 82 years old next month and Sheffield was too far from his house 30 years ago.

  9. It's really not rocket science is it. Sure there is an element of luck to any decisions and appointments etc but we really shouldn't be in this mess. Communication and structure is key. Some general rules i'd advise/follow if in his position. Appoint a CEO to run the club whilst your away. If you want an head coach to purely coach then appoint a DOF/Tech director. If you do then ensure they are compatible witheach other. If you want a manager employ one and give them full control over who comes and goes. Give appointed DOF/Manager/Head coach a mandate and

  10. No. We'd be slightly better off in my opinion. Not much, but a little and that's all we need. I think we can now fully understand a lot more about Monk's time here, recruitment and who we let go, and why. Monk did well with what he was given. It was criminal that he finally got his coaching staff at Wednesday one year too late, and then they were promptly sacked because there wasn't immediate success. It's like we enjoy throwing money away.

  12. key passes what a load of codswallop. I'm sorry Bannan in ineffectual. He passes backwards and side ways more than forwards. He isn't the solution to our problem. yes he needs the players around him but he has been the problem for a lomng time. His delivery from set pieces is shocking. Corners awful and his goal return for a midfielder is pants.

  13. Disgraceful challenge. Makes you even more angry when Shaw got sent off for two challenges that were very tame compared to that on Dele-Bashiru. It was an incredibly dangerous tackle and shock horror the young lad will suffer as a result. Why weren’t our lads surrounding the referee and getting right in his face?

  14. I'll be honest Hearing Neil Thompson bemoaning Adam Reach not excelling in the last game where he was played on the right hand side of central midfield makes me want to rage hard

  15. Basically, our squads a crock of **** and Reach is used to try and fill gaps that our recruitment should have sorted out. No. He's a left midfielder and thats it. Ruined him.

  17. I love Carlos, best manager we've had since Big Ron. He made us dream that Wednesday we're on their way back. Some of the best football in years and some of the best atmosphere's in years. I just want that feeling back!

  18. The turning point was 60 minutes into Stoke. Thompson ripped up what had been working for several games. You can have all the spirit and dressing-room lawyers you want, but if the team has the right-footed Kachunga or FDB on the left, and the left-footed Reach on the right, and a lone-striker waiting for a ball into the box, we are relegated! He MUST go back to basics. How obvious is this point? Rhodes + Paterson. Reach left, Harris right. It was working. What on gods earth made him change?

  23. The man doesn’t want to spend any more money ! He’s sat with his head in the sand fingers x that Thompson will keep us up? Hopefully if this is the case dc might have a buyer lined up pick his toys up and disappear back over the horizon!!! Probably what will happen is that we’ll go down still be in disarray as the new season kicks off Ipswich will have cook in charge storm the league with new investors and we’ll be sat watching in typical Wednesday manner saying the could have/ should have been us

  27. It’s possible. Ipswich are a league below as it stands too. I think it’s important we keep the pressure on DC. There will always be buyers out there.

  29. How long does it take to appoint a manager? This is way beyond the normal parameters of incompetence.

  30. Looking forward to League One football next season. The chance of DC reading this and acting on it are somewhere between zero and nil. Why doesn't Biggs ask some pertinent question like who is actually advising DC ( you know who I mean ) and his actual role on a day to day basis at Hillsborough. Along with how much he is taking out of the club for wages and bonuses. And who is in charge of transfers and connected to agents. Those are the real questions that need to be asked.

  31. Last Saturday really pi55ed me off. It wasn’t time to rest players and try players in different positions, it was a game to play your go to strongest team. That go to team has to include the players in the op in those positions.

  32. Big Ron at 82 would still have been a better choice than Monk, Pulis or Jos

  36. Put players in their best positions. Play the system they are used to. Play our game not the oppositions. Don't over complicate it. Keep it simple. If we do the above and go down then NT will not be to blame.

  38. Looked like a little boy lost when he played earlier in the season. We don't do passing, we do hoof and chase. Unless you're 6ft+ not going to win those headers.

  39. It may well be, and maybe explains why we didn’t do what we needed to do in the January window, despite supposedly making bids. Personally I don’t think it’s because a sale is on the cards, given the current climate, and the uncertainty surrounding our immediate future. There aren’t many suitors who would take us on in League One, and certainly none who would pay anything near that which DC has supposedly turned down. If there were managers out there, the calibre of Pearson, who were willing to sign a contract, just until the end of the season, contrary to what most believed, why didn’t he app

  40. Next two games are defining. If we can’t beat the Lutons and Rotherhams with two attempts each, we don’t deserve to stay up. We avenged the pathetic Wycombe defeat, now we must do so here too. There are games we simply won’t be good enough to get a result. If we don’t beat those two, who can we..?
