  1. Elderly, vulnerable people, key workers all dying from this virus Meanwhile tw@t5 like Jack Grealish are sneaking out to parties and Football are considering restarting just for financial gain The whole thing makes me sick and how anyone could be happy supporting that decison is scum to me The government need to step up and void the season cus clearly the powers of football are just thinking of themselves The whole situation is disgusting

  3. Bottom line is, the season hasn’t finished so should it be null and void and everyone stays where they are until next season starts. If you cancel a season with one game to go, it’s still not finished. As said before, if the Govt health advisers deem it unsafe, any legal action will be laughed out of court.

  8. A few years ago, we were hiking in the Rockies when I saw a bloke wearing a Wednesday t-shirt coming the other way. With a big daft grin on my face, I bellowed the customary 'We're all Wednesday, aren't we?' and looked forward to a few minutes of shared bonhomie and incredulity at the chances of bumping into a fellow Owl in the forests of Canada...but that's not what happened. Instead, he and his group just stopped, stared and looked utterly bemused. 'We're all Wednesday, aren't we?' I repeated, at a much lower volume this time. Cue more puzzled glances. 'Er

  9. When was Henderson a Sheffield United player? If that's the case let's stick Scott Carson in net instead, Ross Barclay on the left wing, and Kenwyne Jones up front.

  10. You are wasted here Mr President. All these scientists around the world who have no idea of so many elements of the virus and it's effects and here you are so glibly sure of all the answers. It's nowhere near as clearly defined as you suggest as even a cursory examination of the available evidence makes clear. For example, I read one early study which indicated the age group footballers fall into came with a 1% risk of mortality when infected by COVID-19. So on that basis, if 100 players were to be infected... One Bundeslige report estimated 300 people would be required to stage a

  11. Just void the whole lot of it and move on to trying to get a solution for next season. Nothing else is safe. Also, from a utilitarian perspective it does the least amount of 'damage' to the fewest clubs.

  12. No from me. As much as the double runner up hurt, the semi against Utd was legendary.

  13. I think many have said this in the thread and before ... Ashley - vehemently hated by many ... loads of posters on here saying "no deal! he's a cretin" .. but one thing is certain, he's a cretin that would certainly have us in a fit financial state .. we might not like how he operates on very restrictive budgets .. but we wouldn't be looking at points deductions, having to sell our stadium etc in order to be run right and not go bust or whatever Like it or lump it, he's a business man and we'd be a proper business with him in charge

  15. It puts those moaners in the NHS to shame, grumbling about PPE, and working in care homes, when these brave footballers could be risking everything by kicking a ball about in empty grounds, after everyone in a mile radius has been tested. Think we should applaud footballers, every Friday at 8.00.

  16. The only way the EFL can win is to scrap the season and cite force majeure. Yes, Leeds and WBA will throw a tantrum but they won't be able to prove they would have been promoted.

  20. Mike Ashley and Steve Bruce vs DC and Garry Monk. Pretty obvious who would get us to the prem out of those. We need a change in direction and this might be the best way for Chansiri to call it a day for the benefit of the club and his own wallet cos we’re going nowhere, just doesn’t have the football knowledge and business acumen to cut it

  21. Basically from the title have you ever been in a part of the world and randomly met a Wednesday fan? For me 6 years ago at welding company in Barrie,Ontario. Got the job and was introduced to a bloke called Dave who was my mentor at the time from Bradfield who loved Wednesday as much as me. Was a great relief to have a colleague with something to talk about.

  22. I'm sorry but on which planet is a keeper who got 40+ caps for England not better than anything the pigs have had in net? Ever. Pathetic attempt at trying to please both sets of fans. Wednesday team from early nineties. The end. I'm not being funny either, if it was team from last 18 months it would be pigs 11. It's pretty simple.

  23. Henderson is Man Utd isn't he so he's void, Morgan in front of any Owls centre half's between 90-94 ? Might as well put Pinky & Perky on either wing ffs. Lets face it, the blunts would be lucky to get one player in the X1 in reality from the 90's onward, but from 2000 that's a different story. Waiting for some silly person to put Alan Cork in front of Hirsty or the Rhyl pouncer.

  27. If it goes against public health and Government advice. How can clubs possibly sue? Leaves a sour taste in the mouth to think that some would want to push the boundaries just for financial gain. They should null and void the season and give clubs a chance to prepare for whenever the new season starts.

  31. Seeing loads of scenarios over how the season should end, 3 teams up & no relegation, 2 teams up, finish at halfway stage, base a final league table on points per game etc etc etc The only really fair way to do this is to accept that the World has been hit by something completely unprecedented, and just cancel the whole season. In every division. Offer sympathies to all those teams that would have won the title/promotion and tell them - thats just life. Make no plans to return until September at the very earliest. If thats behind closed doors - so be it. Peoples lives are mo

  32. Personally, if there isn't an agreed consensus to restart then I'd do a 2019 to 2021 season. I'd run the remaining fixtures of this season currently outstanding in 2021 and therefore not have a fulll season this one or next but effectively have this season finished off in 2021. It would mean the wait until games start again being into next year but you'd maintain the current standings and effectively finish off this season without the risks to life and well-being of restarting it too earlier (ie, in the next couple of months), playing at neutral venues, putting players at risk, etc. Its a toug

  33. We all know some decisions the Football Authorities make leave a lot to be desired but they are between a rock and hard place with the current situation. I cant really see a way football can start before August and that might be optimistic. What ever is decided will be some right mardy clubs about pretending its all about the integrity, honour and fair play of football but in reality as always will be about money.

  36. Think it's too early to say whether he is or isn't good enough imo. As Wednesday fans we have a knack of bigging people up to expect way too much and I've been guilty of that in the past.

  37. Chris Woods earned numerous England caps at Hillsborough. Henderson hasn’t earned a single one at the sty and there was more competition for the national side when Woods was playing. These sorts of “best 11’s” are always a nonsense as they’d sooner try to keep both sets of fans happy rather than pick a best 11. Any independent sports journalist from elsewhere in the country would pick a Wednesday player for every single place in that side. 38. You have to read between the lines of the wording there Nobody is willing to take ownership of what at best is going to be a rushed decision with unknown risk - and at worst is a reckless gamble playing with the health of players and people in the game The govt have not set up a medical committee to help advise on how to move forward - half of the people at least on those committees are from the sports themselves - the govt want to see the schedule and plans for a proposed return - that is the "committee's" purpose Seems both the govt and football are leavin

  41. We are 8 points off the playoffs with a quarter of the season to go. However unlikely it is I’d expect us and every club above us right up to 4th to take legal action against the EFL. If in January, sides such as Forest, Bristol, Preston etc spent more money than they normally would have chasing the playoffs only to be told things have changed and the top 3 are going up without playoffs, then they can quite rightly consider themselves to have been hard done to.

  43. Does that mean we'd have a rollover on our EFL shi.tshow too? Imagine... this season gets binned off, no fans at games till 2021, revenue on it's arris and the EFL bearing down on us baying for blood. Whatever happened to the 'beautiful game'

  44. No idea what his video means He will be another example of why this football club just never seems to develop young players and then profit from it. He's a young, energetic player with potential (but a lot to learn) who has played a part and mostly played well. Has one bad or half decent game, gets booted out the side for it and is discarded. Fans simply remember them as 'never good enough'. This football club is atrocious at youth development and its been a huge problem for as long as I can remember. Not often I say it but this is something

Tom Wrigglesworth he was called, funny as fuçk. Slipped a WAWAW into his act. It was the day Man City pipped Man Utd to the prem as I remeber getting texts from a few Manc pals, so a few years back. pretty boring story that, soz!
