  1. Give It A Rest. What is really boring and frankly disrespectful are the comments of some of the posters on here. There is no point in going over and over and over the same tired old ground that has already been covered in numerous threads. You know nothing about what is going on behind closed doors at SWFC. Repeat nothing. We had our chance in 2016 we blew it. We are now paying for that gamble.

  4. Couldn’t care less personally. It’s nothing to do with anyone else. And, on that basis - I don’t see why anyone should have to declare anything about their private lives.

  5. Some people cannot be happy if we do well. I take every game as it comes we are not in a good place but why can't you be happy and enjoy the good bits. Moan moan moan bleeding hell cheer up ffs.

  8. Derby hasnt been out of the top flight for 20 years or had stints in League one for four seasons and have always been challenging for promotion, gained promotion in 06 to the PL. Their chairman is a big Derby fan and has spent a fortune. They also moved from a crumbling old small ground to a bigger modern one. Apart from that you have a point.

  12. What's everybody expecting Maldini or Roberto Carlos. Barely put a foot wrong all season and when he doesn't play our defence look all at sea. Get into the real world where we are a championship club again everybody. Excellent news this. Hopefully Fletcher is to follow.

  13. Monk has produced a toxic atmosphere? No a portion of the fans have done that themselves.

  14. You can not fault his attitude and desire to succeed here at this club, that i applaud. Personally, if our ambitions are to get promoted, i think we need better as our starting left back.

  17. Who are the worst kind of Wednesday fans? Fans who didnt go on Wednesday? Or fans who take every opportunity to slag off our fans?

  18. A few years ago Leeds were hardly filling 30/40 per cent of their stadium, this was due to a lot of them boycotting going bcz of Ken Bates and the prices he introduced ....this is a club that does get decent support too. Arsenal a huge club were having similar issues when large numbers of their fans stayed away due to them wanting rid of Wenger, Arsenal...a club who has had so much success in the past 20 years too! How can you are anyone even begin to slag our crowd or fanbase off with the amount of shitt we have had to take these past 20 plus years?

  19. Didnt we sell out against Arsenal though when the players looked like they gave a shitt. Its a 2 way street pal.

  22. Managing SWFC in its current state is a huge task for any manager, Bruce had a look and decided he couldn't hack it, he left a nasty stain not a legacy.

  27. Of course the last manager to get us promoted was the massive personality that was Dave ‘ the builder’ Jones, a man who had the personality and face of someone who was being permanently told his jackpot winning lottery ticket was null and void.

  28. Bruce legacy? He was here 2 minutes then p155ed off Monk needs replacing but Bruce has nothing to do with it The players started well like they did under Carlos, jos, Bruce and now monk but then decided they couldn't be bothered anymore like they've done with everyone else

  35. Derby's results since Xmas have been top 3, ours have been shocking as have the performances. Rooney has the X factor and he was playing against his old club. Man Utd, unlike City, seen as that bit more beatable so a possible shock more likely. Derby are a one city team, that don't happen to have neighbours in the PL having their best season for decades.

  37. The point was about legacy - 4 months is neither here or there the first 3 months Monk was in charge we were 3rd - if he left would we be discussing his legacy?? How he changed Fletcher into the leagues best forward? How he transformed Iorfa from an average full back to a commanding centre back? The ability to become the leagues top away scorers?

  38. Interesting read, thanks for sharing. With regards to your fellow fans views on Monk however, I think the problems at the club go way above him. He’s inherited a mess, an unbalanced squad of aging players on big money and not all earning those wages and he’s not been allowed to bring any of his own staff with him. We have an owner who in my opinion appears to be not the easiest person to work for and can frustrate his managers at time, especially with regards to player sales and recruitment. We also have the threat of a points deduction and potentially third division football hanging over the club. As such I’m not sure a change of manager would make that big a difference and I do have sympathy for Monk. May as well give you my views on Bristol while you’re here. You always seem to be there or there about a each season and I think this year you’ll make the top 6. I like Lee Johnson and I like how his sides play football, can’t say I’m looking forward to our trip to your place later this month but wish you the best going forward.... once you’ve played us.

  39. Or maybe the club hasn't galvanised the fanbase like it could and should have. Things have been drifting for a while, No other business blames its customers like football does.

  40. Yep, loads of our fans didn't turn up on Wednesday night for one reason or another. The reasons have been explained and discussed on here numerous times. Those of us that went supported the club financially and vocally for the whole game. We have a hardcore support of about 20k. We have a floating support of similar. We have a passing support of about the same. So 60k or so that we can tap into when the going is good. The going isn't good at the moment so the 20k was made up of hardcore and floating supporters the other night. Many season ticket holders, rest potg regulars. Add in some first timers cos it was man City and that's you're makeup I reckon. Not sure what point I'm making but it all just tumbled out.
